If you can get it in you, this stuff seems to get the job done. You might not be able to though, because it has a very displeasing taste. Incredibly hard to even gulp down plain with water or simple milk, strongly recommend with a banana. Will not continue using after I'm done with it, it just has a terrible taste.
The worst tasting whey protein I have ever had. Just want to be done with it. I dread drinking it after a workout. Tried it in pancake and had to pinch my nose to decrease the taste. Unfortunately I bought 2 😒.
This stuff is insanely foul tasting. It literally tastes like sawdust with a hint of fake chocolate flavor. I've tried many protein powders, and this is honestly the worst one I've ever tried. Avoid at all costs.
This product is simple and straight to the point. Taste good, and gives you a nice punch of protein. No stomach issues like some proteins sometimes cause. Designer has been around since 1993 for a reason. Will continue to use this product.
Had a referral to this product from a competitive lifter-It hits the mark when it comes to supplements, however, the taste was less than ideal. I felt that there are others that have similar nutritional attributes, at the same time, taste much better.
I picked this up last week in hopes to have a morning protein. The taste is horrible. Packaging I have doesnt have mixing ditections simply consume 1 leveled scoop. Rating it 1 for its ability to mix in a shaker bottle & affordablility but in the end, I made a bad investment. Developers need to go back to the drawing board with this one.
I started buying the Strawberry almost seven years ago. I liked it because unlike vanilla or chocolate I could mix it with fruit juices and gatorade. I settled on Designer Whey because after sampling several different brands DW had the best taste. Fast foward to NOW. DW has altered the composition of the Strawberry in the last year to the point where it's not the same as it once was. The last canister I bought had an even different taste than the one I had bought several months before and it dawn on me just TODAY after a hard sprint workout that the taste is now GODAWFUL to me. I rated it a 5 because I did once LOVE this product. But I'm back on the market looking for a new protein.
This unsweetened unflavored protein is what I was looking for. It mixes well with milk and has a reasonable taste. While it's not the best-tasting plain whey protein I've tried, the price was right. I don't consume whey powders with sweeteners of any kind because they all -- including stevia and monk fruit -- have potential health effects. Stevia, for instance, has been linked to DNA damage (steviol). The only sweeteners besides sugars that I trust are erythritol and maltitol but I don't need either of them for protein powders. I don't see why people need everything to be "sweet". There is enough natural flavor in milk and the powder. Adding a lot of sweetener doesn't improve the taste of whey powder anyway. It tastes just fine plain.
This is the best tasting protein out there - low in cals too. I use it in shakes and recipes like pancakes and banana bread.
Almost all of what you need. The L-glutamine and L-leucine are a good plus, but not alot of protein.
I used this protein when I was cutting weight. It did a good job of giving me the protein I needed for a small amount of calories. However, this might be the worst protein I have ever tasted. It is extremely chalky even when blended up with fruits. I had the best taste results when I used almond milk and many, many berries.
I bought the Vanilla, the Vanilla Almond flavor and the White Chocolate. I actually really loved the Vanilla Almond -- you can really taste the nuttiness but also a strong vanilla flavor. The vanilla was you typical vanilla honestly.. nothing special but still a strong quality product (its a great base for pro-yo or something). The white chocolate was my biggest dissapointment, but i guess had to expect that since white chocolate is a hard flavor to really pop in a protein powder. I would still recommend this brand if youre looking to stay lean, not really for bodybuilders. Prob the vanilla and vanilla almond!
It is very good! Great taste (Gourmet Chocolate)! The product has a well balanced protein, complex B vitamins, zinc, glutamine, magnesium, taurine, etc. And it is on the Market since 1993, back there and if it is correct, when the spotlight was on albumin!
I love this product for several reasons. First, it mixed easier than most other Whey powders out there. So easy that I usually just mix it with skim milk using a spoon. Second, it tastes great. It reminds me of Strawberry Quick I drank as a kid. Because of the great taste and ease of mixing right in the glass I drink it upon waking every morning.
