  • Energy, Focus and Mood*

  • Fast Absorbing and Fast Acting*

FOCUS. In athletics and life, the difference between winners and losers may come down to one play or one moment, and the victor is the one with that extra something that pushes them through to the finish line. That is where focus comes in – any lapse in attention is a weakness that your opponent will exploit, whether your opponent is man, woman, or a bar of iron in your hands. Cognitive enhancement through supplements, or nootropics as they are known, is an excellent way to sharpen that focus so that it cuts like a knife through fatigue, distraction, and anything that might get in the way of achieving greatness.*

Orange Brainwash™ has been formulated using cutting-edge science to combine molecules that give you clean, long-lasting, razor-sharp focus.* Thoroughly researched ingredients like caffeine are combined with Alpha GPC and Bacopa to provide longer lasting benefits.* In all, Controlled Labs has designed a nootropic that delivers on all levels, supporting; attention, focus, memory, reaction time, and increased velocity on the neuronal level!*

Absolutely love how the ingredients in Brainwash improve focus, attention, learning & memory. Bacopa has been shown to improve stress, anxiety & depression, also regulating dopamine & serotonin. Theobromine & caffeine contribute to lasting energy, clarity & focus while Theanine ensures a wakeful, alert and overall happy state of mind. Clearly, this is the ideal replacement to morning coffee as it has so many more cognitive enhancing benefits; however, I personally enjoyed stacking it w/White Flash & Green Might pre-workout for the most empowering and determined sense of well-being for demanding high & low rep lifts! An absolute game changer that doesn't contain controversial ingredients and thus can be utilized by everyone of all ages & disciplines.

First off, this supplement is PACKED with mood enhancing, focus boosting ingredients all at the right doses. With 8 oz of water the flavor strength is STRONG. I diluted it to 12 oz and the flavor was still good. I imagine you could mix it with 16 oz and sip on it like an energy drink. The actual flavor is quite tasty. It is similar to most of the Sour Apple/Green Apple flavors out there. However it doesn't have that crisp finish that most of these flavors have. I read another review on a reputable site, and they mentioned that most of the nootropic supplements have an earthy taste to it. This is probably what's contributing to the flavor. It's very subtle. It mixed ok, slightly gritty. But just swish around a little extra water and you'll get the remaining particulars. On to the effects. By itself a single scoop does not do a whole lot for me. I must add that I'm not exactly using it for its intended use which is more for productivity. I've been using it for my intense AM cardio workouts. So I didn't feel a whole lot after my first serving - slight energy and mood/focus boost. I ended up taking another 100 mg caffeine shortly before my cardio. The second time I added in the extra 100 mg caffeine right with the dose. And this made ALL the difference for me. The energy/mood/focus boost was enhanced tremendously. During a bike ride warm-up I was really getting pumped for a good workout. Before a different HIIT cardio workout, I distinctly remember wanting to get to my basement to jam to my EDM music. The energy effects are about perfect for cardio. I don't get cracked. I am right on the border of getting jittery, but I don't get there. I am able to control my breathing. Add 150 mg caffeine and a couple more ergogenics (you already have carnitine and Alpha GPC) and you got yourself a killer PWO for weights. The effects do last quite a bit longer than your typical energy drink/cup of coffee. I've been taking it around 6-6:30am and I feel effects all the way until lunch. Going back to that other review I read, they said the Theanine dose was a bit high and may mellow you out too much. I think I concur with this assessment. 200 mg Theanine does seem a bit high for only 150 mg caffeine. This may work for more recreational users that aren't as stim tolerant or people that are just using it as an energy drink or productivity supplement. I will continue to use this only for cardio adding extra caffeine as this really seems to enhance the overall experience.

I'll be honest as I was a little skeptical as to how a product with these claims would work; thought a little snake oil here? Was I wrong! I have found myself really liking this stuff! I mix a scoop with some vitamin water and sip during the day at work. I used to just sip on a coffee with the usual jitters and ups/downs I'd get along with it. Brainwash keeps me at a really even keel of an energy level and really keeps my head straight, even at the busiest times at work. I manage a very busy auto center that can get completely crosseyed busy and Brainwash definitley makes a difference in my ability to stay focused without stressing out. Would definitely recommend!

Starter: 33 years old, work full time 40 hours/week, go to school part-ish time, 4 classes this semester. Also in the middle of a crazy training program at work that last 4 months, 1 full week per month offsite. Sip this one the way to class, the 150mg caffeine that this contains is perfect IMO for class at 6pm. I'll admit I've been a bit skeptical of the whole nootropic movement, never really got on board with it. But this stuff works. I have the ability to focus while in school, take notes, remember stuff from the lectures, etc. Normally I am very easily distracted and don't get much out of class, especially after working all day. I've used a little over 1/2 the tub so far and can say this is something I will continue to use while I am in school. It makes a huge difference for someone like me. The lemon frost flavor was quite refreshing. I am not a huge fan of lemonade, although I do like it from time to time, this doesn't really have a 'lemonade' taste to it. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the flavoring was definitely enjoyable. After I drank it I added a little water to the shaker and drank the last little bit. I do this with 100% of supplements just to make sure I am getting it all. Nothing notable left over. Overall, this is a winner for me. It's currently BOGO 50% off which is a great deal. The normal price is a little steep for 20 servings, but this is not something I used every day like I would a pre workout. I use this for class and long study sessions and it has truly helped me. So a 20 serving tub can be stretched out to last well over a month. For that, this gets a 10/10 from me with the lemon frost a 9/10.

I was fortunate in receiving a complimentary tub of Controlled Labs' recently released nootropic supplement Orange Brainwash (sour apple rush). I logged the 20 serving tub and have formulated my final evaluation of the product's profile, effects, and flavor. Brainwash is a very interesting nootropic product, which is currently a hot and competitive area of the supplement market. I really like the formula with its low stimulant formulation (150 mg of caffeine anhydrous and 50 mg theobromine). The lower stim nature of the formula gives Brainwash more versatility. Moreover, it is also a formula that balances acute and long-acting ingredients in a way that makes sense. Not only will the nootropic effects help those who take Brainwash immediately upon use but also with continued use. This formula also does not shy away from using respectably large doses. The alpha-GPC dosing and the ALCAR does are both very strong. The only potential area of the formula that I think could use some improvement is the l-theanine dose, which I think may be a little too sedative for the goals of this product. Orange Brainwash is a somewhat costly product, coming in at $1.60 per serving for a 20 serving tub. However, Brainwash does elicit some nice nootropic effects, especially in the focus aspect. I didn't feel a ton of energy from a serving of Brainwash, which was more or less expected based on the lower stim nature of the product and the l-theanine dosage. Furthermore, I regularly use about 300 mg of caffeine per day over the past few months. However, the focus effects were fairly strong. It wasn't an overpowering nootropic experience as in "tunnel vision", but it was a very noticeable narrowing of attention and elevation in alertness. It also was free of any nervousness or restlessness. These focus effects were noticed with acute use and generally improved with continued use. I tested Brainwash as both a pre-workout and as a general, anytime nootropic boost. It was definitely more effective for the latter purpose. I found it to be very helpful during long study sessions or other intensive intellectual activity. Regarding the flavoring, there was some clear sourness to the flavor though it was milder than I expected. The apple character was there to the flavor as well, but it was subtle too. At some points, I did grow a little tired of the Sour Apple Rush flavor during the log, but the flavor could be quite good other times. If the product was mixed with carbonated water, it tended to be more refreshing and enjoyable too. Profile - 9/10 Effects - 9/10 Flavor - 8/10 Total - 9/10

I have only used this a few times but so far sooooo good. That formula though! 20+yrs picking apart formulas I have to say this is the best cognitive/Nootropic formula I have come across in one product. If I were to formulate ingredients and dosings that worked well together and for a focus and cognitive benefit, it would be very much like Controlled Labs did with Brainwash. Awesome job whoever did this!!! Can't say enough in that regard. I thought the Sour Apple Rush was great tasting. I believe I will be a repeat customer with this product. I think the caffeine/theanine dosing is spot on for this kind of product. Not a smack in your face/can't sleep ever dosing and works well with everything else here for focus, memory, etc. If you want a harder stronger feel for workouts just go a little more than one serving or mix in some cheap caffeine or a little bit of another pre perhaps. Either way this has great potential in pre-workout mode as well, just find what works with you. I went more than 1 serving and I will experiment with adding in other pre as well to find my best feel. I really like it for productivity taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Highly suggest trying this out. Much better and much cheaper than those store bought energy drinks as well. Seriously this formula is amazing and I can't say enough about the ingredients and doses they used. 10/10. The formula of the year imo.

This is a really solid new nootropic formula. I primarily used it during heavy study sessions, but also tried it during a few training sessions and for an afternoon pick-me-up. It has a really comprehensive profile. It mixes very easily, but has a bit of grit at the bottom that you must keep stirring while consuming. I felt the effects about 20 minutes after drinking, and it lasted several hours. It doesn't hit very hard, but with a very mellow smoothness. I didn't experience any nervous energy, jitters, or other unpleasant side effects. I did experience increased focus, mood, and alertness, all of which were very enjoyable. The only real drawback I found was that the effectiveness was a little blunted, I felt by the Theanine. If the dosage was a little lower, I feel the effectiveness would be on point. The flavor was acceptable, but fairly bitter, and I found it better just to drink the entire glass in one go. Not something that was enjoyable to sip on. I have heard good things about the other flavors, and will try them in the future. Is this something I would purchase again? Yes, without question. I do recommend it as a solid nootropic product from an outstanding company.

I received a container of the Sour Apple Rush from Controlled Labs to try out and review. I've been using it for pre-workout energy and focus and either using it on it's own for cardio or combining it with other caffeine based supplements for weight training sessions. The ingredient profile is dosed very well and it's a disclosed label so you know exactly how much of each ingredient your getting. The only ingredient in this profile that's dosed a little too high for my liking is L-Theanine and though company's say that when combined with caffeine it helps deliver some focus, I personally feel it mellows out the effects of the caffeine and other nootropics so I'm unable to really feel the effects the way I'd like to. The energy for me was more of a very alert feeling which kicked in pretty quick and lasted close to about 90min but I think if the L-Theanine was dosed at 100mg instead of 200mg I would have felt the focus ingredients much more. I've had experience with some of the nootopic's in this formula so I knew what to expect but I didn't get that focus that I expected cause again the L-Theanine for me is dosed a bit too high. The powder mixes up with some foam and sediment but the foam settles and when you finish drinking it you need to add a bit more water to pick up and of the lingering sediment. The flavor definitely comes through as a Sour Apple but you must add more than the recommended amount of water and 14-16oz is the way too go to really capture that sour apple flavor that resembles the taste of a sour granny smith apple. If your someone who is a bit more sensitive to stimulants this one will be PERFECT for you and you'll probably feel the nootopic's which are dosed well a bit more than me. I definitely recommend giving Brain Wash a try as a pick me up supplement, for more alert energy and a bit of focus, and it will stack up nicely with other stimulants to be utilized as a pre-workout in the manner which I utilized it.

No side effects noticed. No crash or jitters as advertised. Used this for a wake up boost and not a pre. This is coming from a skinny male that's had several stims. It mixes for the most part besides very small particles at the bottom. Flavor is pretty decent. A little too sour/tart but not so much it's unbearable. There definitely was some changes in focus and energy. They weren't huge but I did notice it especially when gaming or a task I actually had to pay attention too. Pretty good just wish it came with more servings. If I buy it again I'm going to attempt Fruit Splash.

Extremely well-dosed nootropic supplement, which makes the price that much better. It's rare to find a supplement that is properly-dosed these days, so kudos to CL for the formulation of this product. Really nice focus that lasts for the entirety of my workout and the energy is nice and smooth with absolutely no crash. Loved the flavor, too!

I was given the opportunity to try this new focus product from controlled labs and used it over a week and a half about half of the bottle. Sour Apple was decent, sour as intended not so strong of an apple flavor but decent overall. The product itself was pretty **** good. Strong focus element and you could notice this. It has one of the better profiles for this type of product. You felt alert without stimulation and it lasted. It was good for a pre workout although I would add maybe some bulk betaine or citrulline if so and great for an afternoon pick me up or even gaming. Solid product at a decent price.

This is one of the best nootropic based supps on the market in my honest opinion (from the one's I've seen). Not only does it deliver a ton of quality ingredients, but it delivers them at the right doses, which you don't see too often in this industry. The focus kicks in fast and lasts for 2-3 hours. Focus, concentration and long term memory recall are the areas where this product shines. Energy is notable, but not intense. If anyone is looking for more energy, it's easy enough to add some caffeine. My preferred use is as an afternoon pick me up at the office. It makes the afternoons go by faster. Hats off CL, excellent formulation. Tastes incredible too!
