I can honestly say that I was physically put to the test and quickly pinpointed my fitness weaknesses and opportunities. It was good to see people of all ages at the training center trying hard to get the competitive edge on their competition. Whether it was a teenager training for school football or men in their 30's getting rid of that beer belly for summer softball season, they obviously came to give it their all!
The Parisi training also specializes on improving fundamental athletic skills and self esteem for young athletes, aged 7-11. Science has proven that ages 7 to 11 are the most critical years in a child's life for motor skill development. The Jump Start program utilizes the most up to date research in a fun and friendly environment to build your young athlete's physical foundation while improving coordination and self esteem through the signature speed and strength training methods.
In 1992, Bill Parisi started out toward a dream. With his All-American track career over, he saw numerous limitations in the way American athletes were training for sport, and he wanted to help remedy the situation. Armed with a motivational speech, some equipment, and a 500 dollar van, Bill drove to high schools in New Jersey looking for coaches and teams that wanted to take advantage of state-of-the-art training techniques.
That was the single-handed beginning of what has now become a multi-personal approach to changing the face of American athletics as we know it. That was the birth of the Parisi Speed School.
