The cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does." So what's the secret? Why are groups so powerful? The answer lies in their social dynamic!
- Group members often have the same goals.
- They motivate one another.
- They learn from each other.
- They become a family that provides support when times are tough and entertainment when things are good!

Having the right social network can define success in any endeavor that you pursue. After all, a man is judged by the company he keeps. Someone who shares your goals can help you overcome any adversity.
Finding that person, however, can be just as difficult. A BodyGroup can connect you with people who can mentor you, challenge you, and exchange ideas that you might not have come across otherwise.
You, in turn, can help others on the same path. By acting as both student and teacher, keeping an open mind to new ideas and different methods, you may be the catalyst to the success of your group. Helping someone else with their goals can be very rewarding, and oftentimes, we benefit just as much by helping out.
BodyGroups are a great way to ask questions, learn, and make progress in a fun and positive environment! No matter what goals you have in mind, don't do it all alone—join a BodyGroup and find all the support you need, any time, all the time.
Joining a group is quick and easy! Find a group that matches up with what you want to do, check them out, and join! Then it's just up to you to contribute and communicate.
Start Your Own Group:
What if the group I am looking for doesn't exist? Maybe you can't find the group you were looking for. That's ok, because you can start your own group, and then invite others to join you! You can even start and be a member of multiple BodyGroups. If having one circle of friends is good, then more is better!

BodyGroup Of The Month
With the obvious benefits that come from being in a group of like minded people, Bodybuilding.com has decided to highlight some of the best BodyGroups. Once a month we will give a salute to a BodyGroup that displays the benefits of people coming together with similar goals. Our BodyGroup Of The Month features an ever growing group of highly motivated people, ROCKIVATION.
Bodybuilding is a lifelong commitment that should be enjoyed. There are times that we just don't feel like walking that road and just need a kick in the @ss. That is what this group will do. We will motivate the masses to reach their fitness destinies one step at a time.
Everyone that joins must not bring the negativity with them. No hating on others. No name calling or insulting. You will be gone immediately. Push others as you would want to be pushed.
ROCKIVATION is a social networking group that is focused on motivation and inspiration. Motivation is an underestimated aspect of physique transformation and this group is perfect for filling that gap.
[ Q ] Why did your founder start this group?
I started this group because I know what it was like to take on a challenge like physique transformation without too much of a support group.
Knowing there are others out there that know what you are going through and can support you on your own journey makes this process much easier and enjoyable. Having the members in your corner makes a huge difference.

[ Q ] What have been the results of starting this group?
Members have been inspired and have achieved many things in this industry. Weight loss as much as 75 pounds in a year to bench press strength going up by as much as 60 pounds in a few months.
[ Q ] How do your members use the BodyGroups feature?
There are many features. Members can post their comments and achievements daily. There is a forum that has threads covering stories to quotes to tips to many other topics and subjects that inspire us all to strive for more.

[ Q ] How would you explain the attitude needed in your group, to a new member?
You need to be positive and willing to support others. Negativity is rampant in this industry and we want to stay positive as that is more likely to yield positive results.
[ Q ] In what way has motivating other BodySpace users, given you the ability to push yourself to new levels?
Knowing these folks are looking to me to push them pushes me even harder. I was named 2009 Bodybuilding.com Male Writer of the Year and 2009 World Physique Writer and Team Member of the Year and without their support, it wouldn't have happened. I am sure of it.
[ Q ] What would you tell someone who is contemplating making a commitment to joining your group, to motivate them make the commitment?
You need motivation, we have it. You can also inspire us. We are a positive group and we would love to have you with us.
[ Q ] How do you think the group mentality applies to your personal life and how has it helped?
It helps me stay positive through the bad times and they are the first group I celebrate the good times with. They are an awesome group that has helped me stay inspired every time I wanted to take a day off and I knew I shouldn't.
[ Q ] Why join your group as opposed to other transformation groups?
Again, the positivity within us is enough to sign up. We honestly and truly want everyone to meet and exceed their goals. The better you do, the better we do.
[ Q ] How do you feel, is the best way to motivate others within the confines of the group page?
Being an active part of this group is all that is required. Congratulate someone. Let them know you care. Just saying hi to a fellow member has been known to improve someone's day. That seems simple enough to me.
