How Did You Get Started?

I've always been active in sports. I remember one day a long time ago in basketball practice. We were all running sprints and all the guys had taken their shirts off. So, I decided it would be appropriate for me to follow suit. So with hesitancy I took off my shirt. All was well until a real popular boy passed me in running and jokingly told me to put my shirt back on. Little did he know that would change my life. I decided right then that I would someday be very proud to take my shirt off and instead of people telling me to keep my shirt on, they would ask me to take it off. I would never have gotten started had it not been for my friend Ryan Deluca. One night at a party of mine he was talking to a friend about lifting weights. I overheard the conversation and decided to join in. Ryan invited me to his house the next Wednesday for a workout with some garage sale weights he had obtained. The rest is history. I will forever be in Ryan Deluca's debt for starting me on the road to success in fitness.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I have tried lots of plans over the years. Honestly I don't feel that any of them have been better than the others. The truth is, I have had the most success with doing them all. I mean the HIT program, a 4 on 2 off routine, the traditional Mon, Wed, Fri routine and also a twice a week routine. I have even tried the twice a day, 6 days a week deal. I believe very strongly in mixing routines and schedules. I can honestly say I have never reached a peak or plateau. It is because I have always personalized my routine to me. That is the plan that has worked best for me. Currently I am doing a version of the HIT program.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I noticed a definate difference in my body when I started taking creatine. It seemed to up my weights and also fill out my muscles. I gained about 10 lbs using creatine. I really felt the effects of Z-Mass. I noticed a huge difference in my energy levels, and also amazingly enough, I started to see veins popping out all over as a result. I began to excel in baseball. Glutamine proved to be a real kicker also. It seemed to give me an instant pump before all workouts. I highly recommend it. Also, I began to see improvements in my athletic performances when I used it. Prolab NLARGE2 protein is awesome. I took that before every practice and game in baseball. It gave me awesome mass gains and improved my performance. I did gain quite a bit of weight using these products, so I ordered some Hydroxycut. I noticed immediate results. They seemed to go right to my stomach and love handles. After I finished that bottle I switched to Pyruvate. This excellerated the fat loss, and I felt great. Then I used Xenadrine NRG. On Xenadrine NRG, I lost 25 lbs of fat. Of course I did do aerobics also. I recommend all of these supplements. They have all contributed greatly to my success as a bodybuilder.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I live for the compliment of "damn you look good". Or the wide eyes of someone who has not seen me for months or years. I love the self esteem and confidence it gives me. I feel good about myself. I live for the feeling I get when I take my shirt off at the beach. I love the great shape I am in, especially how I can hit the crap out of a baseball. For me bodybuilding is life... seriously. I love the smell of the gym. I love the faces that everyone puts on at the gym. I love taking supplements. I love the friends I make at the gym. I am married to bodybuilding.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan to compete in some more natural competitions in 2001. I will definately lift for the rest of my life. I plan to always look good with my shirt off. I plan to write a book about bodybuilding. I plan to be a competitive bodybuilder for the rest of my life.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

I would tell them to go with your heart. The truth is that everyone has advice for you, but you know what? Only you know what works for you. Listen to yourself and work your butt off. Set a goal and achieve it because, YOU CAN DO IT! And don't ever give up. You are out to prove to the world that you can conquer it.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

I would have to say Arnold. I love his physique. Not only that, but he is a successful actor and has influenced millions. I love his patented poses. Also, his waist os incredibly small. Mike Matarazzo also ranks up there because he was the guest poser at my very first competition. The guy is very nice... not to mention he's HUGE!!! And last but not least, Kevin Levrone because he was my weightlifting partners hero for a long time.
