Eight Week Mass Attack: Day 38!

Another one of those days where I just couldn't get myself up out of bed. I don't know what the deal is. I even went to bed at 9:30 pm last night.

Day # 38 of 56 - 02-27-02

Another one of those days where I just couldn't get myself up out of bed. I don't know what the deal is. I even went to bed at 9:30 pm last night. But after snoozing for a while I managed to drag myself to the gym to hit shoulders/traps/calves/forearms. It took a little while to get warmed up today; it was in the low 20s today, the last few days it has been in the 60s or 70s so it was a little harder. I did my usual calve workout just went a little heavier today.

Behind the neck press - 2 warm up sets of 10 reps w/light weights - 2x10 - 135lbs, 1x8 - 155lbs
Dumbbell press - 1x8 - 80lbs, 1x10 - 55lbs (Arnold press)
Side laterals - 1x10 - 35lbs, 1x8 - 45lbs
Bent laterals - 2x10 - 55lbs
Front raises w/ez-curl bar - 2x10 - 90lbs
Cable side laterals - 1x10 - 30lbs, drop set (40lbsx6 - 20lbsx10)
Cable upright rows - 1x12 - 120lbs, 1x12 - 130lbs
Shrugs - 2x20 - 225lbs
Dumbbell shrugs - 2x10 - 120lbs
Hammer curls - 1x10 - 45lbs, 1x10 - 110lbs, 1x10 - 60lbs
Cable reverse curls - 1x10 - 120lbs, 1x10 - 130lbs
Wrist curls - 2x20 - 115lbs
Wrist curls behind the back - 2x20 - 135lbs
Wrist twists - 1x20 - 35lbs

Last week when I did hammer curls with the 110s I think I got 6 reps but today I was able to rep out 10 with it. Strength gains are much greater than size gains with this stack but I have still managed some good size additions. Tomorrow is leg day; I can't wait to hit them hard. I just hope getting up is easier tomorrow unlike the last two days.
