Arnold Sports Festival: Bikini International Preview
The inaugural Bikini International will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011, in conjunction with the Arnold Classic. Sonia Gonzales took top bikini honors at the Olympia and look to do so at this event. Many of the women competing in this event have already won other shows.
It will come down to who is in the best condition from the backside and who presents themselves the best. The division continues to grow in popularity and look for the ladies to make some noise on Saturday with the fans.
Here's a rundown of the field in Columbus, ranked in alphabetical order:
Jelena has model good looks and knows how to present herself well. If she has the right suit and a smaller booty than in the 2010 New York Show, she could do well here.
The fans love her, but for the judges, it will come down to the conditioning of her lower body.

Dina was once plagued with the "too much booty" curse but she's brought it down and found a balance between too lean and just right.
She's competed on the International stage before but as a figure competitor. She had a solid showing at the 2010 Olympia and will look to continue it here.
Dina will have no trouble making you look twice, or thrice.

She's one to watch. She won the overall at the 2010 NPC Nationals and finished fourth at the 2010 Ft. Lauderdale Cup Pro.
She could be in the mix for a top six or outside of the top 10. It will come down to the conditioning of her backside and her presentation.

Jamie continues to find herself in the bikini division. I've been critical of her posing in the past as being too orchestrated and rehearsed, but she's refined it and found what works for her.
She doesn't have the most muscle on her frame, but it's bikini--there isn't supposed to be, right?

I like the look Jessica brought at the end of the 2010 season. She's competed on this stage before and has tried her hand at figure and fitness but she's definitely finding her way in bikini.
If she can bring a tight booty to the stage, look for her to be in the mix.

Missy finally stopped doing her own tan and hired someone. It helped her presentation and look of her physique immensely at the Bikini Olympia.
She was outside of the top 10 there but has proven she can hang with the top pros in previous shows.
She'll have her work cut out to crack the top six here but don't rule it out.

Wicky will make her IFBB pro debut at this event. She achieved pro status by winning the 2010 Juliette Bergmann Classic overall bikini title.
She's one of the taller competitors and it will be interesting to see how she fairs against the pros.
Wicky will need to bring up her stage presence to stand out in this line up.

Sonia has also competed on the Columbus stage before but in figure. She's the first woman to win the Bikini Olympia title and will look to become the first one to win the Bikini International title.
Sonia found her groove and has become more confident and comfortable the more she's competed.

When Amanda doesn't over-think things, she's golden. If she can go out and rock the stage like she did at the night show of the Olympia or like she did at the Sacramento Pro, watch out.
She's a top contender and finished 2010 with a win in Sacramento.

Nathalia is either great or pretty good. She's never been horrible on stage and it's that consistency that has kept her from placing no lower than third in any show she's competed in.
She was the runner-up to Sonia at the Olympia and has beaten Sonia once before, in Pittsburgh. She's also lost to Amanda and Ali. Where does that put her?
It depends on how much booty the Brazilian brings to the stage, and if her body's upper and lower halves are balanced.

I'm a big fan of the competitor Shelsea has become. She's found her stride and when she takes the stage you're drawn to her.
She ended her 2010 competitive season with a win at Houston Pro.
I look for her to be in the mix for a top spot here if she's in shape.

The lone representative in bikini from Canada, Justine is a cover girl who is going places.
She was the runner-up at the 2010 Ft. Lauderdale Cup and look for her to be in the mix for a top-six spot here.

The youngest IFBB Bikini pro has the presentation and just the right amount of sassiness to always do well. Her lowest finish was at the 2010 Olympia and that was third to Sonia and Nathalia.
Nicole will undoubtedly be one of the top contenders again in Columbus.

Noemi won her class at the 2010 Arnold Amateur Bikini and she went on to win her pro debut at the Detroit Pro.
She has stunning good looks and will look to do well here. Noemi is one of the few bikini pros from outside of the United States.
She currently calls Hungary home.

Jess has the looks and presentation to do well at the contest. She'll just need a tight, round booty to hang with this crew.
She finished her 2010 season in second at the Sacramento Pro, losing to Amanda Latona.

Ali is one to watch for a threat to a top-six spot. She was sixth at the Olympia and I look for her to bring an improved physique and presentation than ever before.
Ali has refined her physique over the last few months and positioned herself to be one of the IFBB's best.
