Today, you have deadlifts and a couple of other exercises on tap that might force your muscles to do things they're not accustomed to. Remember that this is supposed to be difficult. Changes in your physique and performance can't happen without constant challenges. Do the work and you'll see results.

Not every gym has a trap bar, so you can stick to conventional deadlifts using the barbell if you need to. I like to suggest the trap bar because it helps people who aren't accustomed to deadlifting ease into better form.

Whatever implement you use, keep your back straight and strong, your head neutral, and your legs engaged. Make your hips do the majority of the work.
