2007 NPC Flint Mid-Michigan Natural Bodybuilding, Fitness And Figure Championships Review!

The 2007 NPC Flint Mid-Michigan Natural Bodybuilding, Fitness And Figure Championships were held on April 21st in Flint, Mi. It was standing room only and the crowd went wild while cheering for every division from wheelchair class to women's fitness!

Contest Review

The 23nd annual Flint/Mid-Michigan Natural was held at the University of Michigan Theater in Flint Michigan on April 21th. This was a NPC drug tested event. The show featured Bodybuilding, Fitness, and Figure competitors. The top five from each division took home beautiful swords.

The overall winners in the local division received a one year membership from the sponsor Hurley Health and Fitness. Every competitor was given a contest t-shirt from sponsor, and an 8 X 10 competition photo. There were 76 competitors. With Melissa Frabbiele as the masters of ceremony the show ran very smooth. The competitors and audience enjoyed themselves.

-> Wheelchair Division:

    For the first time this event featured a wheelchair division. There were three competitors in the event, drawing a standing ovation from the sold out standing room only crowd.

    Jeff Snell took 1st place for the wheelchair division coming in very muscular and ripped With Bradley Gomoluch in 2nd place coming in with a lot of muscle, and Travis Peruski in 3rd place also with a great deal of muscle.

-> Teen Division:

    Shane Stephanson took the 1st place for the bodybuilding teen division. There were 5 other fantastic teens in this division.

-> Master’s Women Division:

    Valerie Bowman took home the 1st place award for the master’s women division. The votes were unanimous.

-> Masters Division:

    The grand masters men’s winner was Harold Leeper, this division was open to men over 50. Leeper is no stranger to the stage having won both the local men’s and the master’s divisions in the past.

    The Master’s men winner was Rick Hutter. The master’s division featured men between 40 and 49 years of age. The Local women’s division featured competitors through out Genesee and Lapeer County. The winner was also Valerie Bowman in the division with the votes again being unanimous for her. The Local men’s division winner was Bob Poli. Poli was massive and ripped.

-> Mid-Michigan Division:

    The Mid-Michigan division featured men and women through out the United States with the majority being from Michigan. The lightweight winner was Valerie Bowman. The winner of the Heavy weight division was Ann Mason. Valerie Bowman took home the overall trophy giving her an awesome collection of awards for the evening. Open men bantamweight, Daniel Johnson.

-> Men's Open Division:

    Open men lightweight Phil Ditman. Open men middleweight, Austin Dossey. Open men light-heavyweight - Kevin Vaughn II. Open men heavyweight, Aaron Bird. Austin Dossey took home the overall trophy.

-> Fitness Division:

    Vanessa Wick won the fitness competition. Whe put on a great routine for the contestants! Her high energy and great attitude was felt throughout the crowd.

-> Figure Division:

    The figure division consisted of over 30 beautiful ladies, divided into open, masters (over 35), and grand masters (over 40). Nadine Bye won the Grand Masters Figure, Andrea Cullen won the Masters Figure. The open short class figure was won by April Harrison and Amanda Breznau won the tall class, with April Harrison taking the overall trophy.
