How Did You Get Started?

I was working out at the gym and noticed a woman who was in great shape. I went up to her and started talking to her about competing. She had competed in a NPC show and suggested that I look into entering a competition. So, a few months later I competed in the NPC Sunshine Classic in March of 2008 and finished 4th and that is how it all began.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Failure - That point in an exercise at which you have so fully fatigued your working muscles that they can no longer complete an additional repetition of a movement with strict biomechanics. You should always take your post-warm-up sets at least to the point of momentary muscular failure, and frequently past that point.
Strip Sets - Strip sets involve the immediate reduction of weight between sets with no rest. This will thoroughly burn out a muscle.

Day 1: Chest

Day 2: Biceps And Abs



  • Sit-Up: 4 Sets Of 30 Reps
  • Cable Crunches: 4 Sets Of 30 Reps
  • Stepper: 1 Set Of 10 Minutes Heavy Resistance

Day 3: Hamstrings

Day 4: Delts And Triceps



Day 5: Back And Abs



Day 6: Quads


  • 45 Min Am Walk
  • 45 Min Pm Elliptical

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

The following is my meal plan for 4 weeks out from show:

2 1/2 oz. chicken 6 times per day. 5 oz. of whitefish every 2 hours. 20 grams of Grits with 1st meal of day. White rice with 3rd meal of the day. Green veggies with 4th and 6th meal of the day.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Because it challenges you to become more fit and also teaches you about focus, discipline, and living a healthy lifestyle.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

Being a good role model for my family and clients. Also being an inspiration for women over 40. I look forward to getting my nutrition certificate and starting clinics that help children with weight problems. Also, I plan on having training camps for women who want to compete.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

Knowing that no matter when you decided to get fit, it is never too late.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I joined Team BodyTech a few months ago and began working with my coach, Tim Gardner, aka The Guru. My goal is on getting my Pro Card and I was looking for the right coach to help in this pursuit. I did a lot of research and asking around and ultimately Dan Solomon hooked me up with Tim. I know I made the right decision not just for his professionalism and knowledge, but also for his emphasis on good sportsmanship, team spirit, and family values.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Believe in yourself and know that we are all blessed in being able to compete.
