How Did You Get Started?

After being stuck with the 'last ten pounds' for my entire adult life, I sought professional help to revamp my diet and training habits in order to achieve my physique goals. I started clean eating and working with a trainer three times per week in January 2008. With guidance and hard work, I met my goal weight and body fat percentage by May.

I started competing after being inspired by other women at the club, as well as by my trainer. My first competition was in October 2008 and 'the rest is history!'

The quest for improved self-confidence and self-satisfaction is what started my journey-I wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin. Today, I like setting new goals to reach-that keeps me going-I'm always striving to do better.

I plan to continue competing to see how far I can go.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

I would tell other competitors to enjoy the experience and keep striving to do their best. It's not the final standings that determine success.
