How Did You Get Started?

By nature I have a lean physic and since I was a teenager I'm a fitness lifestyle follower. Last year I made a decision to become a figure competitor and moved to Londrina to train with Prof. Waldemar Guimarães ( who taught me everything about training and nutrition strategies. The results were great because I took the first place at my first contest (2005 IFBB South American Body Fitness Championship) and was invited to enter the Brazilian team for the 2006 IFBB World Championship, due in September.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

For me, there is no best workout plan because you won't find a magic formula to become a champion in this sport. Building a great body requires determination and courage to go beyond your limits.

My advice is plain and simple: be in front of your mirror and analyze your body, discover your flaws, see what parts need more development and go get to work! It's a big mistake following others workout plan due to our particular genetics and I think this is the reason some people quit to get in shape, seeing that as an impossible goal. Even if you just want to have a lean body, be patient and talk to a "true" fitness trainer who can give you the appropriate advices.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Like I said in the previous answer, genetics play a huge role when you plan your nutrition. Basically I eat what every serious fitness competitor eats: protein (meat, egg), whey protein, a lot of vegetables and very few carbs. I won't present here a nutrition plan due to the fact that making your diet is a continuous changing process. What is good for me maybe it won't work for you. My advice is again very clear: talk to a serious nutrition expert involved in the fitness industry.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Whey Protein, Egg protein, glutamine, vitamin C and complex B vitamins.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love fitness because it is what I have chosen for my life. I like every activity which promotes a healthier lifestyle and the satisfaction to be in shape. In my spare time I practice longboard skating and surfing. Here in Brazil it is very difficult to thrive in the fitness career but nothing can stop you when you really want to reach your objectives.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

To become a Figure Pro and be onstage with the best competitors in the world at the Figure Olympia. At the moment, I'm preparing for competing at the IFBB World Figure Championship witch will happen in Spain.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

If you really want to be a fitness or figure winner you'll have to be open to some changes that will occur in your life. Some of them are not so pleasant but it is the price that you'll have to pay, as everything that we desire in our lives. So don't think that you can create a world class physic in one month or there is a shortcut to get it. Be patient and learn everything from training to dieting and never give up! We don't know what we are capable of.
