How Did You Get Started?

As a young boy around 12-14 years old my two older brothers who were 4 years and 6 years older than me had started lifting weights in our basement with a weight bench and a pull down machine my dad had bought, as they progressed and became bigger and stronger I would ask them to help me train downstairs with them. With only a weight bench and a pull down machine my journey began. After I touched the first iron weights I was hooked. I then started to read the bodybuilding magazines and dreamed of being a professional bodybuilder. So I have stuck with it since a young boy and now at 25 just started competing for the first time this past spring.

Monday - Back Day:

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

My off season diet is a lot more lenient compared to my competition diet. I take in a lot more calories and a lot more carbohydrates when in the off season.

My competition diet is very strict consisting of 4 days very low carbs , followed by 1 day of moderate carbs, and then 1 day of High Carbs , then back to the 4 days of low carbs

Low Carb Days 1-4:

    Meal 1 - 8 AM:

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Zero Impact protein is a great protein for solid mass gains, without excess calories. Xtend by Scivation. Their BCAA mix works wonders for recovery. CLA is great for getting lean. And SuperPump 250 is great for pushing me through my very intense workouts even during the dieting phase.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love bodybuilding because of the dedication and hard work. This is not an easy sport by any means. It takes time and patience. While in the gym nothing else matters except for what I am training during that time. I love the way you can change your body and gain strength by sticking with it day after day.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

I have always been motivated to strengthen my body and always am looking to perfect my body. I feel great when im training and eating the right foods. My progress will always keep getting better and better and am always motivated for the next day.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

I have always wanted to be a competing bodybuilder but just recently started to compete this past year. People always said that its not worth it and its a waste of time. Those comments pushed me to prove that I could compete and win. In this sport if you cant trust in yourself than you will not be successful. Many people can sit back and talk and watch but will they ever be able to push themselves to compete and work hard every single day? My motivation is within me.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan to compete again next spring sometime. Right now im concentrating on bringing up my weak points and gaining more size all around. My hopes is to someday compete in the 202 class and earn my pro card within the next 2-3 years.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

One tip I would give to present bodybuilders is to trust in yourself. Don't ever doubt your ability to become a successful bodybuilder. You dont have to win or compete to be a successful bodybuilder but you have to believe in yourself and stick to it. Its not an easy sport and people may doubt you and say that its not worth doing what you do, but your work will pay off , and it will show!
