How Did You Get Started?

I'm not quite sure when I "got started." I have always been very active. I started gymnastics at the age of four and went on to later play NCAA Division I Basketball through college. My curiosity about weight training and supplementation was initiated after reading a copy of MuscleMedia2000, and a stunning 2 week cycle of Phosphagen... That was twelve years ago! I suppose it was the need to compete that eventually drove me to grace the stage.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

My current cycle is as follows:

I do a half hour of cardio 4 days/wk. While prepping for a show, I get my cardio in on empty stomach (first thing in the morning) and work up to 1 1/2 hours. I also wear a heart-rate monitor while training legs and keep myself above 130 for each set.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I usually eat very clean and ingest 5-6 small meals (along with digestive enzymes), at 3 hour intervals. Advance preparation is always the easiest way to go and I typically cook and measure meals for 4-5 days at one time. I keep sodium intake at a minimum and drink 2-3 gallons of water to remain hydrated and filter toxins (Crystal Light Tangerine is yummy!!!). My favorite meal while dieting is Isopure Zero-carb Vanilla Protein with a 1/2 cup of oats after morning cardio.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I have experimented with quite a few supplements, but have found that the following seem to work the best for me:

I love the power of transformation facilitated through fitness! A fit lifestyle requires both structure and dedication which greatly affects quality of life. It creates positive energy that is infectious, inspiring, and life-altering... an amazing physique is just another perk!

My future fitness plans include gracing the stage at my first national contest in the upcoming NPC USA Figure Show and earning a Pro-card in 2007.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

I am very new to the stage but would encourage anyone interested in competing to invest in a knowledgeable trainer for contest prepping. There is so much more to the sport than: train, eat, rest, repeat!
