How Did You Get Started?

I have an older cousin named Logan Jones. Logan was a power lifter, and I started working out with him. We decided to go into bodybuilding and began training together. I wanted to put on some size and attract the ladies, once I started seeing the changes in my body, I was hooked.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I try not to stick to a specific plan; I like to keep my body guessing. I approach it by breaking my body down into specific areas to work out on each day of the week. Abs one day, legs another, etc. I go by how my body is feeling and work on 1 or 2 body parts in a day. I stay heavy in the weight and do 8 to 10 reps.

Here is an example of a normal week:

Day 1: Biceps/Triceps

Day 2: Back/Abs

Day 3: Hamstrings/Calves

Day 4: Chest

Day 5: Abs

Day 6: Shoulders/Traps

Day 7: Quads

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

For pre-contest I have a high protein intake and only take in carbs pre & post workout. This is adjusted based what I feel my body is doing. I will increase or decrease the carbs as needed when preparing for a show. For off season I keep the same basic diet with an increase in the fat & carb intake as needed to put on mass.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I saw great gains with Muscle Tech Anator p70. I enjoy the Scivation whey protein shakes mixed with 2 tbsp of peanut butter. For vascularity your basic L-Arginine supplement and I have had good results from the Gaspari PlasmaJet. I included these supplements in my nutrition plan listed above.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Bodybuilding is an individual sport, you compete against others, but the real measure of your success is how much you have improved yourself. How well you do is determined by your level of dedication. You have to train hard and control your diet year round. It is a 365 day a year lifestyle.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

The fact that I am involved in natural bodybuilding is definitely a motivation to live a healthy lifestyle. It is a necessary part of natural bodybuilding, and becomes second nature. It is part of what I need to do to achieve the goals I have set for myself.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

Well being a skinny kid, I think wanting to impress the ladies was the reason in the beginning. After seeing the changes in my body and putting on some muscle mass, it became about seeing how far you could push yourself and setting the goals higher and higher.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan on putting on more mass in my off season, and doing 1 or 2 shows a year. I want to continue to improve at the sport I love. I would like to be a positive influence to bring others into the lifestyle, and help them get started. I am always looking towards the ultimate goal of a Natural Pro Card sometime in the future.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

My one tip would be to focus on you and you alone. Push yourself everyday to the limit and you will see the growth and results of your hard work. You are working to improve yourself, so concentrate on that alone.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My favorite would have to be Markus Ruhl. Some others I admire are Logan Jones, Kai Greene and Shevon Cunningham.
