I got started bodybuilding because I was always a small kid growing up. Thoughout high school I used to hang out with a lot of football players and was considered the skinny guy everyone had to look out for.
During the second semester of my senior year I grew tired of being called "The Stick." So I got a few of my buddies together and asked them to take me out to show me how to work out.
After the first day of serious training I was immediately hooked. I love the feeling of improving my health and the confidence having a good image gives you. Soon I began to surpass my mentors and achieve beyond everyone's expectations.
I see people that have not seen me in the last year and the first thing out of there mouth is "Wow! You've gotten big." I just smile because it makes me so happy to surprise people's expectations.

How I Did It
I did it at first with some help with some close friends. Soon after I discovered Bodybuilding.com and BodySpace, they were able to keep me on track and focused on my training.
It also kept me motivated getting so much positive influence and advice that I could do nothing but succeed. Soon after my friends began to look to me and ask questions about what they should do to improve their own routine.
One article in particular helped me figure out that I need to get my diet in check in order to make progress. Also the Brandon Curry Training Videos gave me some good advice on how to focus my workouts and lift in a more efficient manner.
