How Did You Get Started?
I started working out at the age of 14 when I was a freshman in high school. At the time I weighed 115 lbs and stood six feet tall. As you can probably imagine I was very skinny. I hated being the smallest guy and when I went to the beach I was very embarrassed of my body. It was then when I began lifting and have been hooked ever since.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I work out 5 days a week and take the weekends off. I like to switch around the muscle groups I work each day so that I never get used to the same routine. I work 2 muscle groups a day, making sure to leave 2 days rest before re-working them. Then of course two days of complete rest on the weekend.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
Protein is the most important thing for you when lifting weights, especially if you are trying to gain mass. I consume around 180-200g of protein a day. In addition to that I try to drink at least a gallon of water a day and keep the grams of fat I consume down to insure that the muscle I am putting on is lean muscle.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Before workouts I take a serving of NO-XPLODE and I am just beginning to try Citrulline Malate, Diarginine Malate, and Creatine Ethyl Ester. All of which contribute to energy gains, massive pumps and nice gains in strength. Of course protein is essential, preferably Optimum Nutrition’s 100% Whey. I also take 3-4g of Vitamin C a day.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
It keeps me in great shape and boosts my confidence. Bodybuilding is one of those things that when you seriously get into you really cannot stop, and I love it. I honestly look forward to going to the gym everyday. I couldn’t live without it.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
As of right now I am trying to put on weight. Im looking to gain around 10-15lbs of lean mass in the next few months. I want to get involved in fitness modeling and stuff like that and possibly some competitions in the future.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
No pain no gain. If you’re willing to put forth the effort and bust your ass in the gym, day in and day out, then you will see results. It doesn’t happen over night but stay at it and you will reach your goal.
