How Did You Get Started?

I've always been fascinated with making myself bigger and stronger. Sine the time I was little I have always been interested in lifting heavy objects. I can remember being in elementary school and doing pushups and sit-ups before bed. When I started training at a gym it was like I had found my home.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Depending on what my goals are I rotate between a 3,4 and a 5 day split.

My current split looks like this:

*Alternate starting body part each week

I currently only do 10-15 minutes of high intensity cardio twice a week to keep my wind. I have a reasonably fast metabolism and am concentrating on bulking now so I keep the cardio to a minimum.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

When I am preparing for a contest I get very precise with what I eat but when I am bulking I just try to eat as much as possible. I aim for 1 gram per pound of bodyweight at minimum and at least twice that in carbs for gaining weight. I don't worry too much about fats as long as they are healthy and come from sources like fish and nuts.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

In order for supplements to work there must first be a sound diet in place but the ones that have worked well for me are N-Large 2, Whey, NO-Xplode, Nitrix and Multivitamins.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I could not imagine what my life would be like without bodybuilding. It is a way of life which has completely consumed me. It adds structure, purpose and improves my performance in every aspect of life. It teaches you that there are no shortcuts in life and if you want something you have to work for it.

I also love the fact that you get out of it exactly what you put into it. Whether you put two inches on your legs, pulled 4 plates for reps or won a contest, its not because you got lucky, it's because you busted your ass in the gym and had the discipline not to eat all the shit everyone else is eating. I recently won my first contest and the feeling you get when they call out your name is incredible.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My plans are to keep working hard over the next few years, do some more competitions and see where it takes me.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Make sure you're giving everything you have or you're wasting your time. It's not enough to go hard at the gym, drink your protein shake, and then go out drinking all weekend. You won't make any serious gains until you focus all of your energy on your goal.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

I am a fan of symmetry and proportion, rather than just freaky mass and huge stomachs. Some of my favorites are Arnold, Kevin Levrone, Dexter, Ed Corney, Shawn Ray, Mark Dugdale, Branch Warren and Johnnie Jackson. My all time favorite and biggest inspiration is Frank McGrath!!! I would also like to say thanks to King Kamali for all the help that he has given me in answering all my questions and giving me advice. He is a really awesome down to earth guy who cares about his fans and takes the time to answer all their e-mails.
