How Did You Get Started?

I was always known as the small lad in school, so in my last year of school I started experimenting with dumbbells in the garage. As I noticed improvements I spent a little more buying a bench and a barbell. Training got a bit more serious, and I wanted to get bigger so in July of that year I started to train down at a small gym where I work. Then the big step, I joined a large gym in my area called Fitness First with my training partners Lee and Darren. That was in September 2003, I am still there now and have noticed great gains in the past 7 months.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I have tried various approaches, from full body workouts to split routine workouts. At the present moment I do a split routine workout, which goes like this:

  • Monday: Back
  • Tuesday: Chest and abs
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: Shoulders and abs
  • Friday: Arms ( Biceps and triceps)
  • Saturday: Off
  • Sundays: Legs and abs

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I try to consume as much protein and carbs as I can, as I am trying to gain weight. I typically eat 4 meals a day. Lots of chicken and tuna, along with a mid morning shake (Reflex Instant Mass). I also have a shake immediately after a workout.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I have tried various supplements including Prolab Pure Whey, Prolab Creatine Monohydrate Powder. Which both worked great to increase my weight and strength. I am currently taking Reflex Instant Mass twice daily.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Bodybuilding has become a part of me. I hate missing a training session. I love breaking through that pain barrier and lifting more than the previous workout. Of course you have to have proper form in order to get the gains you are looking for.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I don't have any immediate plans to compete this year, but hope to compete in 2005, whatever happens I will give it everything. I also hope to increase my weight in the next few months by about 14 pounds.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

One tip I would give is push yourself to the limits. If you hit 10 reps, then try for 12 always pushing your body to the limit. This way, real gains will be made. Also, NEVER GIVE UP, effort and determination are required to reach goals.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Yeah you guessed it, Arnold by far. He pushed himself where other bodybuilders had failed. At present though, it has to be the current Mr. Olympia, the unbelievable Ronnie Coleman!
