How Did You Get Started?

I idolize Arnold Schwarzenegger and grew up watching all of his movies. I think from watching all of those movies that's what got me interested in bodybuilding. I've always enjoyed watching bodybuilding competitions on TV. When I was 10 I came across my dad's old weight set, so I messed around with the weights a little trying to come up with my own workout program that I learned from watching Body Shaping on ESPN, but my body wasn't mature enough to start putting on much muscle. When I was 14 I started to learn as much as I could on how to train right and properly diet. Then I got really serious about the sport and entered my first competition at 16 years old and took 2nd place in the junior class.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Lately while I was in season training my workout schedule would go like this:

Week 1

  • Mon: bis, tris, abs
  • Tues: legs, abs
  • Wed: rest
  • Thurs: chest, back, abs
  • Fri: bis, tris, abs
  • Sat: rest
  • Sun: chest, back, abs
Week 2
  • Mon: legs, abs
  • Tues: rest
  • Wed: bis, tris, abs
  • Thurs: chest, back, abs
  • Fri: rest
  • Sat: legs, abs
  • Sun: rest.
Then repeat cycle. My plan was to be able to hit each major muscle group at least 3 times in a 2 week stretch.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I eat around 4 solid meals a day and also have 4-5 protein shakes spaced out during the day to help with my protein requirements. Then I take most of my carbs in before 4 pm. (That was my season plan, it's going to change a little now that I'm starting into my offseason).

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Optimum's 100% Whey protein (I recommend it to everyone), Dymatize Creatine and just a basic L-Glutamine.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

It makes me feel good physically, mentally and good about myself. Bodybuilding has taught me how to be disciplined and patient, which are two important things I need in life.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

Right now my season just finished up with winning the junior class in the last 2 shows I competed in. I plan to go into my offseason and try to put on some needed mass and get ready for the Emerald Cup and the 2004 bodybuilding season.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

If you have the discipline, desire, patience and motivation you can really achieve the goals you have set for yourself in the sport and as well as in life.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Flex Wheeler, Matt "Glutaman" Lowden and Ken "Quadfather" Babich.
