How Did You Get Started?
When I first turned 15 I wanted to build up muscle mainly for being such a small skinny kid for my age. That year we bought a bench and weights for me to workout on. I didn't workout on it that much because I never was in love with the sport at the time but once I started noticing a difference in my body, which took almost a year, I got hooked. Everyday I would come home and lift and my parents would think that it was crazy how involved I got into bodybuilding. Then I started training at the local YMCA and started noticing even bigger improvements and that's when I really started getting hooked on the sport.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
A lot of people say that I overtrain but I don't find that as being the case. I feel that if you train hard on the same body parts over and over that your body will get used to it, even if it may not feel like it the first couple of weeks. I train for exactly 45 minutes every day except for Monday and Thursday. This is how my routine will go although sometimes I mix it up if I am at the gym.
Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
1 set of 10 3x
Arm curl bar
Over the head curl bar
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
My diet is one of the best ones you could ask for from a bodybuilder. Ever since being 15 I stopped my unhealthy eating and realized how much better your body feels. Now I tend to eat 6 meals a day with as much protein in the food that I can find. I eat oatmeal, eggs, chicken breasts, tuna, salmon, bananas, salads, ham, turkey, brown rice, and drink 1-1 1/2 gallons of a day.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Although I have not done my fair share in supplements I would have to say Whey Protein is the best for me. I really am obsessed on how much protein goes in my body each day!
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
Bodybuilding is a sport that sets you up for a life long experience. When first getting into it I had no idea how obsessed I would get with lifting the weights, but now going to the gym and pumping iron is one of my favorite things to do in the world! I would train for baseball all the time until I realized that lifting weights was one of my better and favorite hobbies. Much more than playing baseball was itself. That's when I knew I loved the sport.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I am not sure what my future holds for bodybuilding although I know I want to be involved in the sport for the rest of my life. Being a personal trainer is something I would have great interest in.
My ultimate goal is to go pro at bodybuilding someday. I am only 17 and with the training and discipline I think it is possible. My skin only gets thinner and thinner and I get bigger so it could happen and I am not going to shut down on chasing my dream.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Try and stay natural, because when you live to be 50 you don't want to worry about anything bad in your system. You can be big and huge by just training, dieting, and taking the natural supplements. So don't go any further. Also never give up!
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
My favorite is Stan McQuay just because we have a lot in common with each other. Others would have to be Ronnie Coleman and of course the all time great Arnold Schwarzenegger.
