How Did You Get Started?
I began lifting when I was only eight years old. My father was very much into body building and taught me about gaining muscle size very early. We had a gym in our basement and I would lift weights three times a week, very light, concentrating on form. I continued lifting from then, in order to gain strength for sports. Two years ago, at 165 lbs., I decided that I wanted to start bodybuilding and my regimen became 100% more serious. Since then I have been as much as 65 pounds more muscular as I was on that day.

In my case, I use a lot of power lifting in order to gain size. Through my years of weightlifting, I have learned that more weight equals more muscle size and density. Because I started at such an early age, my 1 rep bench press max has been able to reach 445 lbs.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
In my bulking phase, I take in at least 1g per pound of body weight in Protein, and double that in carbohydrates. I try to keep my fat to a minimum, but I will take in a little fat to gain more Protein. I eat a minimum of 6 times per day, including Protein Shakes. In my cutting phase, I take my bodyweight after I have massed to where I want to be, and I multiply it by 12, 13, and 14.
Using this formula, these numbers are the amount of calories that I will take in each day, because EVERYTHING is calories in, calories out. Monday and Friday are high calorie days (14), Tuesday and Thursday are medium (13) and Wednesday is low (12). My diet is 40-40-20, meaning 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat. After those first few weeks, I up my protein near 2g per pound of body weight, and I lower my carbs. Fat in my diet is only by accident, because I do not believe in the importance of fat while cutting.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Every bodybuilder should take in an appropriate amount of Protein in their diet, especially in the morning, after a workout, and 2 hrs prior to sleep. My favorite kind of Protein is Pro Complex. Also, Creatine Monohydrate never fails to give me that extra pump in the gym. In addition, it helps me add those couple extra pounds while I am bulking.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love bodybuilding because it has taught me that nothing in life is just handed to you. In addition, it has taught me the concept of hard work. No matter what was going on in my life, such as problems with friends or my parents fighting, the gym always made me feel better about the situation, and about myself. It is a great feeling to put so much work into transforming your body and seeing great results.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
My favorite bodybuilder is Lou Ferrigno. I like him because he has always been the underdog, and he always works hard. He was never about the glamour or the girls, only the glory.
