How Did You Get Started?

I had always imagined myself being a bodybuilder as a kid. It wasn't until I was 15 years old when I decided to workout - I was way overweight. I was ready for a lifestyle change and a body transformation. When I was 17 I decided to train for a bodybuilding show, I dieted for 5 weeks, and won. This was, for me, when I really got hooked. I loved everything from the audience to the backstage pump-up room!

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I consistently change my workout every time I train. I don't stick to a specific routine, I just know what body part according to workout schedule. I train until I feel I've done enough. I wouldn't recommend training like this, unless you really know your true ability in the gym, meaning very intense exercise, short rest periods between sets.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Very simple, and clean (5-10 meals). I eat whole foods only (unprocessed). Pre-contest and off-season - I like cycling my carbs/proteins to grow and get leaned out. Pre-contest proteins are always very high between 250-400grams, and I like to keep my carbs staggered 200-450grams. As I get closer to show shape I cut carbs weekly as needed weekly to achieve a 1-2b.f.% loss every 7-10days.

Favorite dieting protein as followed: chicken breast, tilapia, salmon, trimmed (lean) beef. Carbs: sweet potatoes, yams, barley flakes, red potatoes (salmon & red meat: 2-3 times a week). 30 days away out from contest I cut red meat, and salmon. Asparagus is added to 3 meals daily. 2-3gallons of water daily! Caloric intake is between 2000-3500 calories a day.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

It builds discipline in all aspects of life. If you can stick to a diet and enjoy it, you can achieve anything. It is just my passion.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I am prepping for 2 shows now - Oregon state championships on June 30th... then following that contest I will be competing at Teen Nationals in Pittsburgh July 21st! I would like see how far I can go in the sport, to take my physique to its full potential, and muscle maturity. I would love to achieve my pro card eventually and get signed with WEIDER. I believe in myself.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Believe, and you will receive. Focus on nutrition as much as training, because diet is 75% of success in bodybuilding.
