How Did You Get Started?

I was a good rugby player so I went to the gym to bulk up and after watching a friend compete I new bodybuilding was the sport for me. Although I was a good rugby player I was still getting thrown around like a rag doll, so my coach advised me to go to the gym to bulk up. I stopped rugby, as I loved the gym... it has become my passion.

I got invited to see a bodybuilding show this December before Christmas and ever since that day I wanted to become a bodybuilder. So from the 2nd of January to the 8th of May 2005, I worked really hard and then competed in my first competition, the 'NABBA Britain under 18's' and placed 3rd.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

4 day split doing different muscles on different day giving them time to rest as rest in some cases is just as important as doing the weights.

    Day 1 - bicep, tricep and calf
    Day 2 - chest, forearms and abs
    Day 3 - shoulders and hamstrings
    Day 4 - back and traps
    Day 5 - quads and abs



I use heavy weights and a small number of reps in order to bulk up. I have always worked till failure until the last week before my competition where I did high reps really light weights.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I take Vitamin C morning and night. My diet constists of high protein, high carbs and low fat. I consume high protein foods every 2-3 hours, which is hard as I attend school. However, after each lesson I eat, even if it is just an egg.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Well I find my food gives me the gains but I do also use Whey Protein at leat twice a day for my pre and post work out meals.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I like to set goals and change my body. I also love to see the improvements taking place.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

In 6 months I will compete in the local Mr. Cumbria and win. I will also compete in the NABBA England and win that as well.
