MRM: Cordyceps

Cordyceps is a blend of cordyceps sinensis and Hepialus armoricanus from the high elevation regions of China. This "Chinese Caterpillar" fungus has been used as an adaptogen (for ch´i) in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Its use in this country has been primarily confined to energy production dynamics with applications in athletic enhancement and fatigue.* Research has suggested to promote the increase in liver ATP:Pi (inorganic phosphate) ratio indicating more energy within the liver for metabolism.* Other areas of benefit are increasing SOD (an overall antioxidant) activity, supporting health immune function, promoting healthy kidney function and supporting improved glucose metabolism.*

The active components of this product are not well definedbut current research suggests the nucleotides (adenosine), polysaccharides, cordycepin and amino acids are responsible for its benefit potential.* This material is standardized to contain a minimum of 0.2% adenosine and 7% cordycepic acid. Research suggests cordyceps has a very low incidence of toxicity.
