In addition to including a complete wellness profile, our Anti-Aging Profile helps to establish baseline hormone levels. By doing this, assessment of possible hormone replacement therapy can be more objectively performed. Fasting for 8 hours is required. Labs included in the Athletic/Anti-Aging Profile include:
- Complete Blood Count (white blood cell count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelet count)
- Complete Metabolic Panel (Electrolytes, Comprehensive Kidney and Liver Function)
- Thyroid Profile
- Lipid Profile (Includes Total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL (low density lipoprotein) cholesterol, HDL (high density lipoprotein) cholesterol, and VLDL cholesterol)
- Growth Hormone Level
- Serum Testosterone Level
- DHEA Level (Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate) - male hormone made by the adrenal gland
- Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) - This antigen, when elevated, is the main marker for prostate cancer. It is recommended that men age 50 or older have this checked at least once per year
Ordering Process
- Decide which test(s) you would like to order. Order the test online using our secure, encrypted server.
- You will then receive an email asking you to go to a secure website to finalize your order, and choose a lab location. If you do not choose a lab location, one will be assigned to the lab closest to your address.
- Your lab requisition(s) will be faxed to the designated lab.
- You will then receive an email, informing you that the lab has your test(s) order. You will also receive directions and a map to the lab from your location via email.
- On the day your tests are scheduled present to the lab, and have your tests done. You are now finished with your part.
- You will receive a second email when your lab(s) are complete. You can then log back onto MedLabUSA using your secure username and password (that you chose during your order confirmation) to view/print your results. The entire process should only take 2-3 days. We have the quickest turnaround time of any online medical laboratory service.
