Enzymatic Therapy manufactures more than 200 natural medicines, nutritional supplements, vitamins, and herbal extracts at our headquarters in Green Bay, Wis. Our product line is distributed exclusively through independent health food stores nationwide.

Company Firsts

Since its founding in 1981, Enzymatic Therapy has introduced many unique firsts to the U.S. health market:

  1986 Enzymatic Therapy becomes the first U.S. company to make Ginkgo biloba available in America.

  1986 Enzymatic Therapy becomes the first U.S. company to manufacture peppermint oil in enteric-coated capsules, which allowed the oil to reach the small intestine and eventually the colon, where it would be released for best results.

  1986? Milk Thistle, a natural liver support supplement, is introduced to the U.S. by Enzymatic Therapy. This comes after the extensive scientific review of the merits of silymarin, an extract derived from the plant.

  1986? Deglycyrrhizinated licorice, an extract widely used in Europe to support the mucosa of the stomach, is introduced to the U.S. by Enzymatic Therapy.

  1987?Enzymatic Therapy introduces standardization to the U.S. supplement industry, helping ensure consumers "get what they pay for." A standardized product contains a consistent amount of one or more active ingredients.

  1993?The company introduces Glucosamine sulfate, providing Americans with the first clinically effective nutritional supplement to build cartilage for joints and support healthy joint structure and function.†

  1998?After 15 years of scientific study by researcher A.K.M. Shamsuddin, M.D., Enzymatic Therapy introduces the breakthrough combination of IP-6 and inositol called Cell Fort鬠an unprecedented immune boosting supplement with the power to greatly increase natural killer cell activity.†

  2000?Enzymatic Therapy introduces Saventaro?, a clinically studied and patented cat?s claw product that enhances natural immunity and supports the acquired immune system† Saventaro is 200% more potent than cat?s claw products derived from the stem.

  2001?Enzymatic Therapy introduces clinically studied Vitaline® CoQ10, the ONLY product scientifically shown to cross cellular membranes and increase mitochondrial levels of CoQ10 to support heart health.† Vitaline® CoQ10 has been the subject of more than 20 scientific studies, including those at prestigious organizations such as Harvard Medical School, the National Institutes of Health, and the Veterans Administration HealthCare System.
