Claude Groulx

I was born in Montreal, Canada. I grew up spending my time participating in many sports such as: hockey, baseball, judo, karate and skiing. When I was 20 years old, I got interested in body building. I started training with a friend who had been training for a few years. He challenged me. He said I wouldn't be able to last a week with him. I took that challenge and turned it into a career for myself. I loved training from the very first workout.

After 3 or 4 years of training I entered my first competition for the title of Mr. Montreal and took 2nd place. That experience was so exciting that I promised myself I would WIN the next show. I did just that ... I became Mr. Montreal the following year. Then, I went on to win Mr. Quebec and the Eastern Canada overall competition. I won Mr. Canada in 1992 and again in 1994 where I took my Pro Card.

I moved to L.A. in 1996 where I trained with other pros in the Gold's Gym in Venice. In 1998, my wife and I moved to Miami, where we live today. Mostly I train at the Gold's Gym in North Miami and also provide personal training. I started my own company for 'Final Touch' competition cream and 'Claude Groulx Muscle Wear' starting with posing trunks.
