Directions For Chewies Glutamine Micros: Glutamine plays many important roles in the body. It is a building block of tissue proteins, a source of energy, and has positive effects on muscle glycogen and protein synthesis. Glutamine is also involved in immune system function and has been found to stimulate growth hormone (GH) release.* Prolonged, exhaustive exercise may result in a decrease in glutamine levels 1-2 hours after the exercise period. To recover glutamine levels and avoid deterioration of muscle tissue and immune system function, consume 1-2 servings of CHEWIES Glutamine Micros after exercise. To further boost glutamine intake, consume another 1-2 servings on an empty stomach first thing in the morning or before bed.
