Can some one tell me how i can gain mass/weight faster?
Thanks.

The best thing is to eat foods high in protein and to take a weight gainer drink.

By Saining on Wednesday, June 23, 1999 - 10:31 am: Edit

I think if u are thin,don't train more than 4 days a week,maybe 3-4 days.And eat more meals,maybe 3 hours a meal and get enough sleep.

By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 23, 1999 - 07:08 pm: Edit

Don't stop exercising if you are skinny. Do what saining said and work our max. 4 days a week. ANy more and you will be losing significant weight.

By Saining on Thursday, June 24, 1999 - 09:45 am: Edit

Yes,because if u train so lot and haven't enough rest,u can't build the muscle because u are skinny, haven't any fat on it.I think u better save your time and spend it to gain your weight.

I have a few questions to ask:

1.How long does it take for me to see results if I use the ANDRO/TRIB/DHEA stack pack and creatine?

2.if i stop working out and stop taking the supplements for awhile like 3 - 6 months or so will i lose most of what i gain?

3.should i take creatine and the Andro/Trib/DHEA stack pack everyday or just on the days i work out?

4.Do I have to eat at least 1g of protein for each pound of bodyweight everyday or just the days I workout on?

i really need thes questions to be answered so would someone answer them for me quick please!

By Jon on Tuesday, June 29, 1999 - 05:12 am: Edit

1. It won't take long at all to see results taking those supplements. Within a week you should look at yourself with more confidence and pride. You can do it!
2. As for stopping the supplements, as long as you keep training in the Gym, you should keep making gains, just not as rapidly.

3. Depending on how often you work out. If you workout 4 days a week, take the supplements everyday. If you workout once a week,(just an example), just take it on the day of training.

4. Eat as much protein as possible. People make claims that they eat 2.5 grams of protein for every body pound. This seems outrageous to me. I have about 1 gram of protein per pound, but most of the time 1.5 grams/pound

There is a little plastic device that you can buy. I'm not sure of where to buy it, but ask your doctor.
If you want to learn more about supplements, buy some magazines and research through the internet. That's what I do. I'm only 16 so I look forward to finding more and more products to learn about.

Hi, am novice in bodybuilding and have to many questions, but one is:
1. Which time is better for Weight Gainers drinking, before training or after?

By dsheebs777 on Saturday, September 18, 1999 - 04:44 am: Edit

You do not need to take a weight gainer. Just eat alot at least 15 times your body weight if that is not enough add 500 more calories. Eat plenty of protein, get alot of sleep, and train heavy, intense, and short duration app. 1hr. A good weight gainer that is cheap is chocolet milk.
hope this helps you.

Im 18 years old and am skinny. I am 5'8 and weigh 140lbs. my goal weight is to be around 175-180lbs in time of course. I eat healthy and high protein foods, but I have no idea how to work out at the gym. No one gives me straight answers on WHAT SUPPLEMENTS TO TAKE, WHEN TO TAKE THEM, HOW MUCH TO TAKE, and biggest of all HOW TO LIFT and WHAT TO LIFT. How many reps, etc; I know to gain mass lift heavy. But HOW MANY REPS. should I do a warm up and warm down period? and how do I do that? What are good BRANDS and SUPPLEMENTS to take? I already know take Creatine, but WHAT KIND, and from WHAT BRAND? I also know to drink protein drinks, but WHAT BRAND and WHAT KIND? Should I take Andro/nor/tribulus/dhea or what?!? I would only be working out 3 days out of the week. Is 3 DAYS TO LITTLE? If so then HOW MANY? Should I take the supplements on OFF DAYS? If so WHICH ONES? I want to gain mass, but I also want to be cut up as well. I want to be like 175-180lbs of mass and be cut up, i dont want to be just solid? Also, is it easier for skinny people to gain muscle rather than a fat person? Just curious. But please SOME ONE help me!! I can't seem to understand what to do because everyone says something different, and this forum is confusing too. PLEASE HELP!! Email me or Post, just HELP!! Thank you,

Does strength also depend on body weight? Also.when u take weight gainers and mass builders, and work out..does the weight spread to your entire body or first to the stomach area? Does eating bananas help to gain weight? Please help.

you shouldnt worry what it should be even though it should definitely be a lot more jus try to gain as much as you can, as for the eggs i eat about 4 raw a day in whey protein which you should definitely take, iwould also take creatine. i dont now much about the cholesterol but when youre young i dont think its sucha big deal. as for me with the stomach when i started lifting, (5'6 110 pds.) i had a lil six pack pot belly, which looked really bad, so i didnt do any ab workouts for about 6 months unitl i got to 130 then i did abs, i kind of let my stomach "grow out" but if you do cardio itll all trim down, as for the bannanas ive never tried it, for gaining wiehgt ,i jsu eat tuna and lots of eggs and meat if you want more info email me ill help you out

There is a term caled overtraining. You should only workout at max 4 times a week. After putting your body through the pain of a workout, it needs time to recover, and heal. Without that time to rest, your muscles will never be at their full potential.

Hi! everybody, i have the same question with the other guys who are willing to gain weight. Since, when I was 26 years old, in 1995 i'm already lifting, i got an idea from my old friend who's doing bodybuilding exercises. He gave me his sets of barbell and dumbbells. I was single then, At first i gain weight. My previous weight then was 125 lbs. after maybe 3 months i gain 30 lbs. i'm not taking any suppliment. I exercise 3 times a week no more no less. I got an idea also from the old book of Mr. Weider entitled "The Weider System of Progressive Barbell Exercise",. After a year I abruptly stop. Doing some exercise but not heavy.

My weight drop to 145 lbs. The possible reason i can see also was maybe sex. Because when i got married that was the starting point of droping down my weight. Until now i'm still doing exercise. But not gaining a lot. Anybody who can help me. Please reply.

I'm 6'0 tall 190 pounds. In the last three years I have managed to gain about 15lbs of solid muscle. The problem is, that I can eat till I'm blue in the face but still not gain a pound. When I do manage to gian weight, I lose it in no time, because my weight fluctuates so bad. I take creatine, and designer protein, and I thought of stating some weight gainers, is the weight gainer a good idea?

By Bruce on Wednesday, December 29, 1999 - 03:40 am: Edit

Trooper, it sounds like you might just have a very high metabolism. Personally, if your body is telling you it doesn't want to gain weight, I would listen to it and not try to force the issue with over the counter weight gainers. Body type and other genetic factors have a lot to do with how much weight your body can support. If you force your body to support more weight than it can naturally handle, you are possibly inviting a lot of health problems in the long run.

Besides, focus on the muscle mass and strength gains, not overall body weight. Building muscle is a relatively slow process (at least naturally), so don't worry about quick gains in size and weight. Just keep working hard in the gym and the results will eventually show up.

Good Luck.

Why is everyone so obsessed with adding weight? I'd recommend watching for changes in your physique.examples-muscle hardness, bodyfat level, vascularity and muscle definition. Adding weight doesn't always mean adding muscle. If you want to add weight than eat junk food!

I have recently started taking a supplement called mass fuel. It has really helped me in keeping my energy levels up and in improving all around performance. It supplies you with minerals and vitamins that are essential to gain. Taken after workouts I find it really helps in recovery in terms of fluid replacement and provides well over the usda recommended amounts. I highly suggest this taken after workouts stacked with creatine, I use the powder, taken before a workout.

I was wondering if you stop using Anotesten, Nortesten and andro prodocts will you lose the muscle you gained?? and do u think i could gain 10-15 pounds of muscle in 1 month with these products working out 2-3 hours daily?

By Anonymous on Friday, January 14, 2000 - 08:52 am: Edit

if u work 2-3 hrs daily u will grossly overtrain your body...10-15 lbs of muscle in 1 month can only be gained thru roids...but u don't want that. Gains don't come easy or that quick, be patient or be a fool. Train hard and smart, not like a muscle comic freak.

Anyhow- here's the key- eat the basal metabolism
of the weight you want to attain until you are
there. Just keep training. Also, if you are
having trouble gaining, shut the hell up- you ARE
OVERTRAINING. Lift heavy once every week, the
whole body- one workout. Don't get stupid with
light weights. You should increase your bench
press by 10lbs./month, at least, if you are in
your teens. Think not? Shut up, again.

You think I don't know what the hell I am talking
about? Whatever, then.

Also, ECA stacks work. If you are under 19, and
have a flu or other viral pathogenics, don't take
salicin (asprin), as it may be very detrimental to
your health. creatine will increase nitrogen
uptake.

nevermind. eat more, train harder, and rest
more.
marijuana helps spare protein. And-

to anonymous-

IF you know what the hell you were talking about,
you would realize that certain roids are less
androgenic, and not all cause growth-plate
fixation. Further, most roids aside from android
etc are not going to mess you up any more than
taking that eca stack.

You don't even know about juice if you think roids
will mess you up. If you do them right, you can
take them for life, and not see problems.

A 15 year old...don't worry about gaining. Just
keep lifting and as you get older you will start
gaining, until you are overtrained. The only
people with big gains at 15 are genetic freaks and
kids on gear.

Go to the vet and get laurabolin for your dog. It
is vetrinary deca. You will put on 20-30lbs in
8-10 weeks, solid, for your first cycle. You
should retain 70-80% of that. Wanna get big?

Go to mexico where juice is legal.

Sorry, I have been an angel today, and have been
raging since I rammed my halo into my shoulder.

DON'T use a wheightgainer. They consist of simple carbs with a low percentage of protein, which will just get you plain fat. DON'T buy wheightgainers, and if you already have one, whatever you do: DON'T TAKE IT LATE AT NIGHT ! That would be almost like eating bananas and sugar before bed, and that will make you FAT !

Instead, buy a protein supplement from a reputable brand, and take one shake in the morning and one right after training. In addition, you should try to eat tuna, cottage cheese, chicken and other high protein foods. If your from europe, your famililar with KG. Try to consume about 3-4 grams or protein pr kg of bodywheight. This might mean cutting a little carbs, which you probably are overeating anyway.

Try sticking with 45% protein, 40% carbs, 15% fat. I'll guarantee you'll grow with this formula.

By John ( - 212.120.195.51) on Friday, March 31, 2000 - 04:35 am: Edit

About the guy named knowledge, have a consumption that is based by 45% of protein, and if you get more than 4-5 pounds, it will be a miracle. Also a diet that is based in such a high percentage of protein is unhealthy and dangerous, and should been followed only for some weeks, if someone wants to get more muscles. You want to get some weight? Simply have a ratio 60-30-10 (carbs-protein-fat), and if your carbs are based in complex carbohydrates (rice-pasta-potatoes), you are in the right way. lncreasy your total calories you eat by 300 cal, every time that you are reaching a stucking point. Weight gainers DO help, if you are a hard gainer, but dont even try to drink 2000, 3000, or 4000 cal per day from them. Your stomach will be like a $#@!
And for the friend that asked about which brand is the best Universal or MLO, Universal is far away better than MLO.

Mega Mass , Milk & Egg ? It's ok if I take both?

By John ( - 195.97.4.32) on Monday, April 03, 2000 - 10:31 pm: Edit

l think with Mega Mass you will take some more pounds, more easily, but remember what counts its not only the protein powder that you take one or two times every day, but also the other 3 or 4 meals that you eat every day. l mean if you take too much from this protein, and then you can not eat your next meal, thats not good. And remember every time that you hit a stucking point, to increase your calories by 300. (But dont do that more often than every 2 weeks, in order to give your body the time to reajust.

John: the 60-30-10 diet plan is old news. New research shows that a carbo intake as higs has 60 % gives the body faaar to much carbo than needed. And unecesery carbo WILL be stored as body fat. And again, a 30 % protein diet is to low for max muscle gains. Say you're a 200 pound male. At this wheight you'll need approx. 3000 cal. (200x.65 = what you need in cal. intake pr.hour x 24 hours= your daily intake).

Now, setting this in the 45-40-15 ratio will give you approx. 1350 kcal from protein, 1200 kcal from carbs, and 450 kcal from fat. Converting this to grams, you multiply the proteins and carbs with 4 (1g=4kcal), and the fat with 9(1g=9kcal).

1350 kcal from protein will give you an estimate of 335 gr. of protein a day = ca 1.5 grams pr pound of bodywheigt. Belivie it or not, this is what is recommended for max muscle growth, hell, a lot of guys even recommend more. The important thing to remember is to limit your carbo intake. With this scheme you will only need appr. 300 grams of carbo a day.

The 335 gr. of protein WILL be consumed by the body, if you manage to provide a steady flow throughout the day. Try eating 6-7 times a day, about every three hours. An eating schedule would look something like this:
0800: 50 gr. protein, 70 gr. carbs
1100: 50 gr. protein 60 gr.carbs
1400: 50 gr.prot, 50 gr.carbs
training about 1600
1700: preworkout meal: 40 gr.prot, 30 gr.carbs
1800: 50 gr.protein, 40 gr. carbs
2100: 50 gr. protein 30 gr carbs
before bed: 40 gr. protein, 10 gr karbs

This really isn't that difficult with a good protein supplement. Eat tuna, chicken, cottage cheese and eggs. As you get stronger and bigger, increase your calorie intake, both protein and carbo.

By John ( - 195.97.124.119) on Thursday, April 13, 2000 - 10:59 am: Edit

l agree with you in some parts Knowledge, but you have missed something. The anonymous friend, wants to get some pounds, and since he wants more pounds and he recommends by himself that he is thinking to take mega mass4000, l guess he does not even expect (or want), to get only muscle pounds. He knows that he will take some fat but thats unavoidable. When l started bb l was only 170 pounds and l knew if l wanted to get some more mass, l would get also some more fat. l agree with your diet, l am eating also 330 gr of protein per day (l am 220 pounds), the ratio that you give for protein/carbs/fat is good, and l am doing it also when summer is coming close, but about the friend, the case is different.Thats why l gave him the 60/30/10 diet, and it is/was also Lee Labrada's favourite ratio, when he wanted/wants to get some more pounds.

By Knowledge ( - 193.217.211.89) on Thursday, April 13, 2000 - 04:09 pm: Edit

Then we agree on several points, John. But I'm quite sure that a carbo intake as high as 60 % is unnecessary high, giving you TOO much carbs. You dont have to gain a lot of fat, just for the purpose of gaining muscle. Simply adjust my previous plan with about 3-400 kcal, adding both proteins and carbs.

Eat 5-6 nutritional meals per day, dont train every day, and sleep at least 7 hours every night, and maybe after a couple of years you can fulfill your target. (Keeping also the same bodyfat level, if you are thin and you dont care about that, maybe the next summer).

I lift as heavy as possible with few reps and take creatine. I have gone through weightgainers and proteins shakes, but it barely has done anything. Do you have advice on which shakes to take and a when to workout which body part. I do about 4 sets on each machine. to much/to litle?

Thanks

At first, don't forget if you don't eat at least 4 good nutritional meals every day (or as we call them "regular meals", and then add two more in the form of a good protein powder), even if your creatine and MRP supplementation is perfect, you are still lagging no matter what.
l can give you the names of some pretty good mass proteins such as Twinlab's "Gainers Fuel 2500", or Weider's "Mega Mass 4000", or "Super Heavyweight Gainer" from Champion Nutrition, but remember again that supplements are just what the word says "supplements" and nothing more. lf you don't eat enough no matter if you take the next X miracle supplement, you won't see any good results at all.
Now about your sets, 4 sets are too many for me. Go for 2 sets in every exercise, having as the maximum number 8-10 sets TOTALLY for back/shoulders/chest/legs, and 4-6 sets TOTALLY for biceps/triceps/calves.
Also exercise every muscle part NO MORE than once per week, and remember always that you should not stay more than an hour at the gym. Finally don't forget to sleep at least 7-8 hours every day if you really want to get bigger.

Here is a list of things I eat to try and gain weight. I weighed 115 last month, and I am now up to 120-121 thanks to a lot of help. Eggs, pasta, tuna, fish, chicken, yogurt, cottage cheese, oatmeal, peanut butter, bagels and toast, and 1 serving of N-large2 per day in 16oz of whole milk. Theses foods work great for me. You just have to experiment and find what is best for your body. Eat right, train right, then supplement right...

I am trying to gain mass and have a few questions.
1. Should I take my protein on off workout days. If so how many times.

2. Since I am trying to gain weight, is it alright to eat anything like chips and cookies or should I stay healthy. which foods do you recomend for gaining mass.

By fitforlife ( - 208.190.252.208) on Thursday, August 31, 2000 - 02:20 am: Edit

yes take protein on off workout days, since your muscles will be constantly growing. How many times a day I am not sure, but between 1-1.5g per lb of body weight. As far as cookies and chips go. An occasional one here or there won't hurt. I like to eat tortilla chips. As far as foods go, what I mentioned in the above post should be real good foods for gaining.

hey John any other sugg.

By John ( - 194.30.248.136) on Thursday, August 31, 2000 - 10:10 am: Edit

l agree with you fitforlife, anon should try to hit for 1-1.5gr of protein even at the days that he don't train.
About how many times to take his protein powder, l say the same. (One at the afternoon and one before he goes to sleep), but the afternoon serving at the days he does not train, since he did not give a hard time to his body, its ok if the quantity is not as big. (ie if he eats around 50gr of protein after workout, its fine if he eats 30-35 at his non training days.
ln order to gain weight but to stay healthy is fine once in a while to eat tortilla chips, (l am doing that also), but to eat constantly whatever the fridge has inside maybe is good for gaining weight, but as l said is not good in order to stay healthy. (So avoid hydrogenerated and trans fatty acids, and big quantities of saturated fats).

greetings from belfast, im a very grossly underweight 20 year old, im about 7 3/4 stone, i dont know what that is in pounds but i know its very underweight, ive been getting a lot of conflicted advice from various 'pro's ' i know to take creatine and more importantly my protein but i have such a small appetite, have u guys any tips on how to get that food down me? also what else can i take to help me make gains quicker, im not to sure about stuff like 19-nor keto as i dont like the sound of the side effects, one more thing my best mate is a serious bodybuilder and he says after a while i should start taking HMB to help me keep the muscle, will this really help?

oh yeah last thing (i promise this time lol) what do u guys mean by the term stacking? does it mean take them all at once?

By John ( - 194.30.248.230) on Saturday, September 02, 2000 - 11:23 am: Edit

One good tip to eat more, is to drink some good protein shakes. (What is difficult to eat, is much more easier to drink it right?). They can replace a whole meal, since they can provide you with the same calories, and you can get bigger without making you hate to eat all the time. (The best way for cases like yours, is to eat 3 normal meals (breakfast-lunch-dinner), and 3 more meals in the form of a protein powder.
Thats the only way that can make you have serious gains quicker, and forget the case about andros since so far you have not experienced yourself with many other supplements. You can take a good Creatine and a good L-Glutamine for more gains, but andros should be the last way for you, (when you will have hit a plateau and you can not get any better whatever other supplement you have taken so far).
And about HMB, l have tried it and it works, but not for everyone but about to 70% of the people that they have tried it. l think it works better, if you take HMB AFTER your Creatine cycle, since l believe, it can help you keep the small or big gains that you will have made through your Creatine cycle.
And stacking means when you take more than one supplement at the same time. (le Ephedrine/Caffeine/Aspirin, is the famous "ECA stack", or another one example is a combination of different forms of andros (ie dione+diol), since you asked about them. Of course many companies have included all these ingredients in one product, where one ingredient is helping the other in order to work better for your body).

I am 29 years of age. I weigh just 55 Kgs. I want to desparately increase my weight to atleast 70 Kgs as quickly as possible. But, I am a strict vegetarian, but can consume eggs. I don't have any knowledge about food supplements. Moreover, I can't eat heavily, but can just afford to consume 3 normal meals a day. I am ready to do consistent exercise. Without much of overloading my stomach, is there a way out to gain, quick weight of the body.

you should take it everyday because your muscles grow on the days you not training. i think its more important to take it the next day than on the days you train. this is when your body needs all the protein it can get

By Ectodon ( - 207.141.41.2) on Tuesday, November 14, 2000 - 09:46 pm: Edit

I agree. We (ectomorphs) have to train to confuse the hell out our bodies. About 4 years ago I was 6'4" 173lbs with a body fat percent of 6. I trained almost everyday. I was ripped as hell but had no size. I started taking Gainers fuel and gained a little weight but had the shits from hell. I couldn't keep my weight up. I started taking andro and developed a new body. I changed my workout routine to where I would workout 2 weeks taking one day off each week and then go into a 4 on 3 off split then back to the 6 on 1 off. I also started eating what ever the hell I wanted and cut out all cardio utill I saw my weight increase. I am now 6'4" 230lbs with a bodyfat percent of 11. I was definitely turning heads in the gym. I can't count the number of time that I was accused of juicing. within the first 6 mths of my new plan I gained 34lbs. Although my body was shot after about 2 years of this I now hold my size. The lowest that I ever got since my new regimen was 210. I start this program again on the 20th of Nov hoping to get to my new goal of 250lbs. Wish me luck and keep us updated on your progess as well

By SondreNordheim ( - 148.122.66.36) on Wednesday, November 15, 2000 - 09:19 am: Edit

well, in a way, using andro is juicing, just juicing legally....and with a little less effect...with a higher risk of developing some nasty side effects, like tits...:(

Why not use the real thing instead. I dunno if you have any knowledge of gear use, but do some research, bro! A sust cycle with only 250 mg a week for, say 8 weeks, will do wonders for you. Finish off with some clomid, and you'll keep 90 % of what you've gained...
Just my advice....

I'm 14 years old and have been weight training for football. I can't seem to gain any mass, at first I gained weight and I was 5'8 and 176lbs. but now I can't get anything. What protein could I take to get muscle mass??

By BigJ ( - 24.162.105.97) on Friday, November 17, 2000 - 08:44 am: Edit

I would go with ProLab's N-Large 2. It's a really good source of protein, plus complex carbs to help pack on some mass. Plus, if you're training for football, you're probably doing a lot of cardio and you need those extra calories. Just rememeber to eat, and try to eat a lot of protein! At your age, you're still growing and it should be no problem. Plus, it sounds like you're doing something right being 176 and only 14. Good luck!

What about Kwik Size XL from Labrada? It only has 1g of fat and 3g of sugar.

I think it's a good gainer too, though a little more expensive per serving. Plus it does not have as much protein per serving as N-large 2, but it's still a good choice, I just personally like N-Large 2 better.

I think each case is different from the other. Maybe you are all pros or maybe you are all stupid well i'm not sure which one, i hope your pros. It sad for young guys to come in hear and expect a good question answered but it's not the case in here. So my advice is to each to get personnel advice from a local trainer which will examen your personel situation. If people are going to be causing confusion they may as well be quiet.

SECRET TO PUTTING ON 50 LBS. OF MASS IN 1 YEAR
Eat 6 meals a day (6am 9am 12pm 3 pm 6pm 9pm)consisting of regular bodybuilding foods (meat, potatoes, yogurt, fruit, vegetables, water )
1. Eat each meal until you are full.
2. then add one of my "magic Shakes" immediately after each meal.

Magic shake = 2 cups milk + 1 can tuna in a blender mixed up

Each shake has @50 grams protein and is about 420 calories. Drink one after each meal and you add 300 grams of protein to an already good diet. I am 23 years old and lift naturally and couldn't get past my sticking point weight of about 188-190 lbs at 5'10. Since drinking these shakes for 1 month I put on 23 lbs. of muscle and am keeping it on and expect to keep the weight coming. My strength is going through the roof!!! For all you younger guys I know how hard it is to want to be huge with little $ so go to a wholesale club and buy a case of tuna (36 cans case) for about $18. Get 2 cases a week = $36. This is cheaper than buying all those bullshit supplements. Try to work on weekends to make $ to cover this cost and you will get huge fast. I can't believe it is this easy. P.S. to all fake message board posters KEEP IT REAL! A lot of kids take this to HEART!
I am sending in my pic on this website for all you disbelievers to shut your mouths up.Follow this program , because I honestly believe it is the best one devised, I figure that you guys know that you need to lift heavy infrequently and get plenty of rest as well. Also, don't go out everynite with your friends, Keep it to sat or Fri nights and get rest during the week. It'll help you grow so when summer comes by all your friends will start bitching that all the girls want to go out with you and not them!!!

I'm posting this message in a lot of message boards because I honestly believe in it.I Don't want to bother anybody if they read it everywhere but us younger guys need to help each other put on mass. Drink these shakes even though they taste like shit!! Biff's egg shakes have the same idea as mine. REAl food from nature puts on the mass faster. All the bullshit supplements(although some work) can't touch mother nature. Like Biff said, homemade shakes of tuna and eggs or whatever are what separate the hardcore guys from the little pussies who can't throw down a shake without tasting like its from Mcdonalds!I also will challenge anyone out there to try and put on more mass with any shake in 1 month cheaper than the way I do it. I'm so serious about this, My strength is blowing up fast. I just wanna know who's gonna have the sac to follow this routine? PS. If you're a pussy, dont try this shake routine because you can't handle it!!

TO THAT GUY ON THE TOP WHO WANTS SOMEONE TO HOLD HIS HAND ALL THE WAY THROUGH HIS PROGRAM: DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, LITTLE KID. I'M 17 AND DID IT ALL BY MYSELF. NO ONE IS GOING TO JUST HAND YOU 20 POUNDS OF SOLID MUSCLE ON A SILVER PLATTER. YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. YES. YOU READ THAT RIGHT. ON YOUR OWN. I TAKE 100% PURE GERMAN CREATINE FROM PROSOURE, NYTRO WHEY BY PROSOURCE (IT'S 100% CFM WPI)(IF YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS), CYTODYNE (ORIGINAL ANTI-CATABOLIC CAPS), MX7 BY GEN(METHOXYISOFLAVONE), GNC MULTI VITAMINS(SOLOTRON), A DESIGNER PROTEIN SHAKE IN A GLASS OF FAT FREE MILK BEFORE BED. I'VE GAINED 20 POUNDS IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS. NO JOKE. TOLD YOU THAT IT HELPS TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. ALSO, I AM GOING TO START TAKING XENADRINE SOON AS I GET THE MONEY. NO I'M NOT CRAZY. I KNOW IT SAYS NOT TO TAKE IT IF YOUR UNDER 18. BUT CHECK THIS OUT. I READ AN ARTICLE IN MUSCULAR DEVELOPEMENT THAT WAS ABOUT A STUDY ON THE EC STACK IN CHILDREN. AT 20MG/200MG PER DAY, NO SIDE EFFECTS, AND THEY LOST FAT. YES, IT'S A LOW DOSE BUT I'M TRYING TO KEEP IT SAFE. ONCE I TURN 20 OR 21 I'LL TAKE THE FULL DOSE. OH YEAH, DON'T TAKE ANDRO EITHER. UNLESS YOU ENJOY WEARING A DOUBLE D. ALSO, DON'T PUT ALL YOUR FAITH IN SUPLEMENTS. IT TAKES WORK. SURPRISE. PUT THE TRIED AND TRUE TRAINING PRINCIPLES TO WORK FOR YOU, LIKE PRIORITIZATION, PRE-FATIGUING, AND SHOCK TECHNIQUES SUCH AS DROP SETS, PARTIAL REPS, AND OF COURSE...FORCED REPS. IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, THEN FIGURE IT OUT.

Hey everyone, a couple of quick questions:

I've been working out for about two years now, and I've gained about 10 pounds. Unfortunately, I'm still only 140 lbs at almost 6 feet tall.

My bench is at 210 though, and I can curl 90 pounds. I do have pretty good strength. However, I'm having a hard time putting on the mass. My routine is as follows:

Tuesdays: Chest, Triceps, Shoulders (8sets each)
Wed: Biceps, Legs, Back (8sets each)
Sat: Chest Triceps Shoulders
Sun: Biceps, Legs Back

Each workout lasts me about an hour, plus 15 minutes of abs each day. I take protein shakes, but really don't have the time with work, etc. to take 7 meals a day. My protein intake is probably .8 gram per pound of bodywieght. I average 7 hours of sleep a day.

I'll cycle creatine in a 6 weeks on 6 weeks off program. Never tried ZMA or other supplements. I DO NOT want to even mess with stacking hormonal supplements. I simply want to know, based on this, what can you all advice if I want to put on another 20 pounds and how long you think it will take me to do so.

Thanks for your help

Definately N Large 2. Vyopro is an MRP. It doesn't contain enough carbs or protein to really be effective. N Large 2 has better protein, more of it, and carbs to get it into your system, plus its cheaper per serving, and doesn't have too much sugar or fat, so I would definately recommend it over most things, especially an MRP

By Danny on Thursday, March 22, 2001 - 04:25 pm: Edit

Vyopro is just protein not an MRP, the protein in NLagre II is nothing special its just whey concentrate BV100. Vyopro is a better quality protein but has almost no carbs or fat - but remember you can always add those in the from of flax oil and powdered maltodextrin.

Weight gainers contain carbs and fats along with the protein, to give you a big shot of calories with your protein. That also helps protein absorbtion. It's really more economical to buy gainers, and they work better especially if your a hard gainer. But if you've already bought why, you can just add some milk and canola/flax oil to the powder and basically have a gainer
