Only AST sells hydrolized whey. This is the one you want for MAX protien absorption in the least amount of time. Remember it is a BIG difference between protein EATEN and protein DIGESTED. Regular food is at about 5 gr pr.hour. Whey concentrate is at about 8 gr. pr. hour (this is what's in about 90 % of all brands today). Whey isolate is at 10 gr. pr. hour. And finally, hydrolized whey is at 14 gr. pr. hour. For MAX muscles you want your body to digest the biggest amount of protein possible.

Also, hydrolized whey reaches the muscles in approx. 20 min after eaten. Regular food uses about 2-5 hours before it does any use in the body.

And dont be fooled by brand labels saying it got both whey concentrate and isolate. Most companies put only a small amount (1%) of whey isolate or hydrolized whey in their powder just so they can put it on the label.
Check out www.ast-ss.com for great info on their supplements.

responding to reese and william.first reese you can get 4 2.2lb containers of nytro whey from pro-source direct for 77.50 thats twice as much as your getting.i agree nytro whey is good(whey isolate formula)in both taste and effect.now for william,methoxy-pro is good also but i didnt get gains like they claimed.i would defenitly give it a shot it might work better for you as everyone is different.

I am looking for a protein that works but without all the hyped up costs. Any suggestions? I've used EAS but find thier products too expensive. What's the best bang for your dollar?

By Akicita (65.13.171.130) on Saturday, September 08, 2001 - 08:47 am: Edit

What do you mean "any siggestions?" You've just posted this to the bottom of a list of nothing BUT suggestions going back to January of LAST year. Read around, because suggestions on protein are a dime a dozen on this board.

But I'll say it again anyway: my favorite is Biotest Advanced Protein.
