what's the difference and which is better to use or works better?

Whey protein is an ingredient in Met-rx. The blend is better most of the time. Whey is good to take first thing in the morning and after a workout since it is fast absorbed. You would want to use a blend for your last meal of the night since whey is fast absorbed its in and out of the system fast; wheras the other milk protiens and egg white protein are slowly absorbed. A consideration is also how often you eat. If you eat 6 or more times a day every 2-3 hours then having a couple all whey shakes is okay but if you can't then eating proteins that are more slowly absorbed is a good idea.

Why is whey the better protein? I agree that it usually is but your answer has no explaination why. It is fast absorbed and not an optimal bed time snack. A mixture such as met-rx or myoplex is better if you can't eat in the next 2-3 hours. See my above post.

I had tried whey proteins and met-rx proteins. I came with the conclusion that depending how they affect your stomach then you can choose the one you fill more comfortable with. Now, as which is better on using them both, I can tell you that they are both good. Whey protein is being told that the body absorbs it better, while metamosyn is absorbed slowly. I take met-rx when I diet, because it stays in me for about 2-3 hrs. and whey just flushes thorough me big time! I like to feel my body being nourished by the supplements I'm taking, not just pass through it. Like I said is just a matter on depending how you feel about them, I always tell my clients that not just because there is so much hype about a new supplement don't get so exited about it. We all have different body types and they don't react the same to all slupplements always try them and pay attention on how it makes you feel and work for you. Good Luck. Always pay attention to your body not anyone elses!

Hello, I was looking for some advice from someone who know their stuff. I am 165 lbs. I am 21. I am male. I am not a bodybuilder, but I feel they are experts when it comes to bodies and weight training, and supplements. I want to put on 30-40 lbs. I have until Feburary to do it. (I am not from the States so it is my football off-season). What is the best type/brand of protein that is going to help me gain this weight. Any other tips like what time to take it, how much to take, what supplements to take it with, and anything else you can think of. I would be grateful for any of your wisdom. I am sick of being this small and getting injured so much just because of size. I am willing to spend any amount of time in the gym for results. I am willing to do anything for results. Any information would be great, books, websites, workout programs anything.
Please help.

If you want to gain 30-40 lbs in three months, no supplement will make you accomplish that. Just a fact. For maximum gains in these months, use creatine, a protein supplement and glutamine. But still, with the right training and nutrition, you can excpect to gain 10-15 pounds in three months. Hell, even that would be extremely much.
If you excpect to gain 30-40 pounds naturally, forget it! Even with steroids that would be much. And if you havent trained seriosly with wheights before, steroids are not for you yet.
This is my tip to you; research a bit on weight training and nutrition. AST's website is rather informative; www.ast-ss.com)
Buy some vp2 and creatine hsc. Follow Paul Delias tips, he's very knowledgable regarding training. The max-ot could also be something you wanna look into. Password; dymetadrine
Good luck!

I totally agree with "Knowledge" about AST. They are a very reputable company and offer sound advice on weight training. 1 year ago I was 16 yrs old, 6ft, 140lbs at around 6% Body Fat. A year later and I'm 6ft 2 , 200lbs at 6% Bodyfat. I have tried creatine, but was very dissapointed with the results. Now I stick to protein shakes and a high protein diet (350-400 grams per day.

I wouldnt go with the HSC. I have used it before and am A LOT happier with the results of their normal micro creatine. My advice, take it with gatorade after your workout. Gatoarde is a very high glyceminc liquid, and has a combination of Sodium/Potassium for optimal transportation, the same as the more expensive mixes. Besides, using the regular creatine, you can be assured you are getting exactly 5 grams each time. That can not be guaranteed with the pre mixes.
ps: AST is the only company I use

Hey, I have found that whey isn't as good as metamyosin Just isn't. It's the cheapest form of protein...goes in, goes right out. metamyosin stays in the gut longer for absorption.

what products other than metrx have metamiosin

Metamyosin is nothing special it is just a blend of different type of protein.
