Everybody says the best time to take creatine is after your workout. But creatines role is for the production of atp the energy source inside the muscle. My question is why do you need the atp source after your workout rather than during your workout. PLS answer this question.

After your workout your body needs the creatine a lot more than before (because you just used up all your ATP...) so your body will take up a lot more of the protein you consume after your workout then before...During your workout could be OK, but don't start taking your creatine when you've just started, wait till your almost finished...

Try mixing 5 grams of (micronized) creatine in 8 ounces of water mixed with 50 grams of (powdered) sugar..You can add some sirup? for taste..

I was wondering after taking creatine for about 4 or 6 weeks they say you should stop and dont take it for awhile i was wondering how long shouldn't i take it for.

buddhamus:i take creatine for 6 weeks and take off for 2-3 weeks usually 3.they say to take off half the time you take.so at 6 weeks you should take off 3.

what is should i take first after working out? protein or creatine, and how long should i wait before taking the other? Then ho long after should i get a good meal? thanks
