Does anyone have any information on this stuff? I've heard that one can almost get "steriod-like" gains when combined w/ Creatine. Is this true at all? All I've heard about it is that it's a powerful anti-oxidant. Now I hear that people are using it in place of Ribose as an insulin producer to take with their Creatine... Any thoughts?

steroid like gains ? When stacked with 50 mg of Dianabol and a shot of Winstrol maybe ...
ALA mimics the effect of insulin. Insulin is needed to drive creatine into the muscle. There are a few things you can take to make creatine more effective. But if you have an active metabolism you shouldn't need it, except maybe chromium Picolinate. Chromium makes the cells more insulin sensitive, ALA mimics insulin, dextrose in large doses ups the insulin levels, taurine increases the body's need for insulin and ribose preserves ADP long enough for creatine to make it ATP again. That's in a nutshell. The question is, for the half a pound a year you'll gain extra : is it worth it ?
