Why are you deleting all of these posts? Are you jealous that someone might know more than your company knows about bodybuilding? This is totally riduculous, people ask questions, we give answers and they should stay for those who haven't read them yet, but you delete them. This is not a conversation board , as I once thought it to be,this is a company store board. I guess if it doesn't speak of your comapny and products, them. Right? Am I pissed off? YES, but I think others are too.What do you want us to say in the answers? Try such and such.... and oh by the way, bb.com store sells this shit at an amazing ,low price....Dorian

Yeah, what's the deal, Jealous?? honestly we probably do know more. When some one is right, and tells the REAL truth, what's the deal?? I don't have this problem on another board I post on. I am pissed too. WHO ELSE IS PISSED? Why should we spend quality time when you erase crap?? Dammit, get with the program.

Hmm, a riot bb.com...
We asked in decent tone of voice a week ago when this first happened, and we got no response.
Now you see why we are pissed???

Ryan, your full of shit. When people tell the
truth on this board you delete it. You are also
a latent homosexual. I hope you go out of business.

I just e-mailed bb.com, and told them why I was mad. The post above says keep posting the great information. Now why would I want to do that when it gets deleted?? I can say I won't be posting quality info until this gets straightened up. I have other places I can post that won't delete my useful messages.

MOST OF THE FOLDERS HAVE BEEN ERASED?
Take a look at all the empty folders. They did not clean out all of these folders "by mistake". A ton of posts have been deleted. Why?
| By Dorian ( - 38.38.56.161) on Wednesday, December 20, 2000 - 02:20 am: Edit |
I don't know but I take ----- by ---- it is the best stuff and you can buy it right here at bb.com store. If you buy right now you will save a whopping 10cents. But make no mistakes this is the store of stores.This is how I became from 165lbs to 235 lbs in 3 years, it really works. Ok now with that out of the way, lets see if this is erased.;) Dorian

You all sound just like the type of guys I have been trying to get to join my weightlifting-bodybuilding mailing list. Only have 8 members but if we can get the number up in the 50+ member range, it would be a great forum for every one. I own the list and no business interest in it. The company that handles the list throws a little ad at the bottom of the e-mail but it you turn off the html on your mail reader, you will never see it.
If you don't want individual e-mails, you can choose > and read the posts on the web or you can choose to get a daily digest of posts.
No folders, no moderators to look over the posts but I do ask that we keep the steroid stuff off the list and remember that the list is not filtered so keep the language cool since kids can read it.
As the owner, I can choose to make it moderated (where I get all the posts before they go out to the list members) or I can just ban those who will not play nice.
Please check it out and tell others who are pissed about it. I really have not been able to find a list. They are so much easier than message boards and there is no company to offend so you can write about any brand you want.
Think about it. I would be glad to have you all on board.
You can follow this link to subscribe and it is free and you can quit any time you want.
http://www.egroups.com/group/weightlifting-bodybuilding
Hope to see some of you on the list and happy holidays,
hut
PS please e-mail me if you have any question or concerns about the list.

Hey its a free world.. we have freedom of speach and freedom to shop where we want to.. so If someone knows where I can get something cheaper and just as good as a product here,.. than tell me... if this place does not like it they can lower prices to get the customer back.. that is what other stores do

Just curious about the amount of protein the body can digest and use at one time. As a somewhat passive body builder (not in it for competition, just appearance and health) I dont want to overdue it for health reasons as well as $. I know. I have read the differing views on so much per lb of weight, but how much at once. Can the body take 40 grams? 60? Is it true that some are digested quicker and easier and some work in over the course of a few hours?
| By fitforlife ( - 208.190.252.53) on Monday, January 22, 2001 - 01:30 am: Edit |
There is no set amount that the body can digest. People say 30, but that is just hype. I mean, you can eat a can of Tuna, and drink a glass of milk, and magic; you get over 40g of protein. I think most people here have done something like that before, or different things containing more than 40, and haven't had problems.
Now, as far as proteins go, whey is digested quicker. As a stand alone protein by itself, that is.
Now for your question concerning how much protein?? This is a VERY VERY tough questions. Now some people won't agree with me, and will say it is an easy question. 1-1.5g per lb of body weight. It isn't as simple as that. There are so many claims on how much protein. It goes from
What the RDA says for an athlete is 1.2-1.6g per kilogram of body weight. which equals this
175lbs=80 kilograms x 1.2= 96-128g of protein
I have read numerous articles where they go as high as 2g per k= 160g of protein for an 175lb bodybuilder.
Now what a alot of magazines claim is 1-1.5g per lb. Which would be 175-262.5g of protein.
Now, after you view protein in a Nutrition, and scientific view, you realize that the extra protein isn't needed. People will say Bull Sh*t it is, but read the below, and then you decide. I am going to go over this in greater detail in one of my articles for the site...
1. Protein is NOT used for fuel. The most is 10-15% max. Carbs, and fat are used for this.
2. If protein isn't used for fuel, then what is it used for?? Protein make up a key part of the blood and help regulate body functions.
as far as how much protein, we don't look at it in g. We will look at it in
"Protein equilibrium."
When a body grows, "muscles" it needs a positive protein balance. Yes, more then the RDA of .8g per kilogram of bodyweight.
175= 64g for an everyday 175lb person..
175= 96g-128g of protein for A 175lb bodybuilder.
The extra 32g-64g of protein is ENOUGH to do the trick.
So honestly, the extra 47-134.5g of protein that is suggested in the magazines is not necessary. Most of it is excreted through the kidneys.
And for anyone reading this, remember this:
the hormones insulin, growth hormone, and testosterone ALL stimulate positive protein balance. Eating more protein does not guarantee a positive balance; building EXTRA body tissues require the right hormonal condition as well.
Weight lifting, also enhances positive balance.
And a final note, research shows that it is CARBS that actually enhances the ANABOLIC EFFECT of weight training, by increasing insulin and GH into the blood stream. Note why all WEIGHT GAINERS are made up of mostly CARBS. I suggest people eat MORE CARBS, as their source of extra calories, instead of protein. I think you will be surprised.
Now I am not saying protein powders are worthless, but I don't think the 1-1.5g is helping. The powders are great for after a workout, and then get the rest from FOOD.
45g from a shake
20g from eggs
24g from milk (Braums fat free milk has 12g per 8oz)
30g from meat.
9g from other food during the day.
Any more ? feel free to ask......
