Posted yesterday about the zero carb drinks from Iso-Pure and Van Horn Technologies. I had the fruit punch Iso-Pure today and the Van Horn Carribean Cooler yesterday and both are very good. 40 grams of whey protein isolate and no carbs. Kind of expensive but for really good protein, I think it is worth it. I choose to get my carbs from other sources. This stuff is great since you can just open a bottle (the Y keeps it cold for me) and drink it down immediately after your workout. Then eat an apple and you are all set to go. I am hoping this site will start carrying it. I wrote and asked them to. If others write, maybe they can get it at a cheaper price.
Just wanted to report on the taste of the stuff. I rate it a 4.5 out of 5.

African hut,
how many servings are in it and how often do you use the protein powder?
By shahabkalim ( - 203.200.170.53) on Tuesday, December 19, 2000 - 11:50 pm: Edit
i use it before workout everyday
10-15 grams
By africanhut on Monday, December 25, 2000 - 03:06 am: Edit
The protein is bottle in 22oz. bottles and comes in 4 flavors. Each is 40 grams of isolated whey protein. I drink it after my workouts. Cost about $1.25 a serving if you buy it by the case. I really like it, no digestive problems and as I said, it tastes really good.
As for powders, I use ProMax but SportsPharma. It mixes real well with water, has 50 grams of protein per serving (but I only take about 30 - 35 grams at a time). The chocolate is very good tasting and very good protein as well.
I got the isopure so I could drink the pure protein right after my workouts and then I drink Perfects Pure Carbs or Twin Lab's Carbo Fuel along with it since I have been told that you need to have the carbs for the protein sythesis to take place. I have posted about that but so far no one has responded.

HOW LONG AFTER EATING SHOULD I WAIT TO TAKE CREATINE SO IT WILL ABSORB BETTER
By rcw186 on Saturday, January 20, 2001 - 06:20 am: Edit
Hey. I am starting to take ATP Advantage
Creatine Serum. I heard it works better than
powder. I have 3 workouts a day. The first one
is Wrestling practice at 6:30 A.M. The second
is off-season Football at 12:00 P.M (45 mins
of heavy weights and 10 mins of running). The
last workout is circuit training weights (light
weights, one after the other, for 20 mins) at
4:00 P.M. I do this workout program mon-fri,
and on thursday I have no before school
wrestling or after school circuit training. I was
wondering if taking the serum at 5:30 A.M
(when I eat breakfast) will last through the
whole day. I am wondering because I heard
from the products web site that since it is easy
on the kidneys, it is "Depleted from the body
after any intense session 1-3 hour workout. If
you can help me, please email me, or post a
reply. Thanks.

Also, do you recommend teenagers stop
taking creatine after the season is over? Note
that I still have off-season football, which is
running and heavy weight-lifting. Also
remember I am 15 years old, 6 foot tall and
213 pounds.

Creatine serum is the worst junk supplement you can buy, bar none. Wherever you "heard it works better than powder", go punch them in the face. And then post that stuff in the proper headline--this is about Isopure low-carb proteins.

I heard that if you take Caffeine with Creatine the Caffeine screws up the effects of the Creatine.
Is this true?

Hi. I was wondering if creatine monohydrate could be used together with 19-norandrostenedione. I know the 19-nor is a prohormone and don't know whether or not it is affected by the 10 grams creatine, 4 grams glutamine I take. I am 21 years old and have been active all my life but just recently began to get serious about bodybuilding. Anyone?
By fitforlife ( - 208.190.252.53) on Monday, January 22, 2001 - 02:52 am: Edit
It won't affect it. Creatine can be used with any supplement. I don't think you nedd the 19-nor, but that's my opinion........
By joehagy on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 - 01:08 am: Edit
let me see if i get this right fitforlife? are you telling him its okay to take creatine and glutamine together, or are you saying its okay to take them both, just at separate times? you should never take creatine and glutamine within 3hours of eachother.
By fitforlife ( - 64.123.118.22) on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 - 01:20 am: Edit
No, taking the creatine and the 19-nor.
He is asking if the creatine will effect the 19-nor.
Hey JMB it's like eating a couple pounds of steak, and then using the prohormone.
get my point better joe??

Is It OK to take Caffeine and Creatine together?
I heard it deminishes the effects of Creatine.
Please Respond.

Hi, should you take Creatine before or after your workout? Please let me know!
By NightGoat ( - 24.185.54.162) on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 - 06:50 am: Edit
Celltech is an excellent creatine product - perhaps the best.
Take creatine after workout so as not to lose as much. Take after you wake on off days.
Cycle creatine for 12 weeks on then take a couple of weeks off so as not to build up an immunity and to give kidneys a break.
remember to drink a lot of water when taking creatine so as not to become dehydrated.
Consider using in conjunction with a whey protein supplement; also, methoxy is the new rave "safe" supplement out there, somewhat reminiscent of creatine when it first came out - I don't know enough about that one to suggest a product, I'm trying out EAS's methoxy supplement, there are a lot out there though.
Creatine works, if used correctly, and if using a quality product, and it can aid all types of workout regiments.

increased ENURANCE...which in effect will enable you to be stronger during your workouts...which enables your muscles to get bigger. it has little effect on losing fat.
