I know you're not supposed to take creatine with protein together, but with mass action, the TMG acts as a transporter. Does this mean I can take whey protein and mass action close together?

Creatine has been OKed to be taken together, it is glutamine that cannot be taken with creatine as they require the same transporter. Many people will argue that glutamine is an amino acid, the building block of a protein. But has many portions, and until it is spliced it is no specific amino acid, and can be transported many different ways.

Sodium and potassium act as the main transporters for most of the body's nutrients, which is why bananas and salt are crucial to bodybuilding. After a workout, I take micronized creatine with Nytro Pro-40, which helps the insulin spike and send in plenty of nutrients to needed cells.

However it is best to just take creatine with somecarb juice source such as gatorade. It is more effective alone, than with other nutrients. And the loading phase helps bring about a creatine saturation point that helps retain sufficient water within the muscle cells to provide them with an anabolic environment and extra room to grow.

Creatine works much like blowing a balloon up. It helps balloon cells to push maximum protein in to cells for growth. It also provides a source of energy (ATP) for strenuous workouts. It has multiple functions, but creatine works best by itself in 4 5g, doses each day.

Thanks alot Big Red. I do my fair share of research to provide people with actual knowledge, not phonie baloney.

Supplements:
*Simply Protein by EAS
*Nytro-Pro-40 by AST
*Glutamine Fuel by Twinlab
*Micronized Creatine by AST
*Multivitamin Pill

Basically to build muscle, you first need the correct amounts of all nutrients. Plus, the mulivitamin pill fills your blood stream with antioxidants, that help kill the free radicals that destroy cells and impede growth. TO witness the effect of this, look at an apple after you bite into it, it starts going brown. That's the free radicals at work.

Anyway. I try to consume good portions of protein, around 30-40g. Generally I place the MRP after a workout and when I wake up, both for recuperation and to replenish muscle stores, glucose stores, and get some energy. The glutamine I take when I wake, and when I go to bed. As you may know, glutamine is resonsible, as believed, to increase GH levels, and that's best at night before bed.

The creatine I take in about 5g doses, 2x per day. Once after the workout and some other random time. I had read that it was ok for creatine and protein to be together, but not glutamine, so I throw it in with my MRP sometimes, especially when EAS is doing it now, and they are one of the most thoroughly researched companies out there.

And the whey protein is taken whenever I need an easy meal. My personal fav is a salad with soy beans, croutons, fat free dressing, and a protein bar and gatorade.

I don't do cardio now, as I am bulking up. Cardio will come after. It hinders growth, very easily.

So, here's a typical day.

7:00am. MRP with 12-16 oz milk and glutamine. Mulitvitamin Pill

10:00am. Protein Shake with FF Yogurt or Fruit.

1:00pm. MRP with h20 and fruit or salad.

4:00pm. Tuna fish or chicken salad sandwich, protein shake, and fruit.

7:00pm. Homemade meal courtesy of mom.

10pm. Protein Shake and some low glycemic carb source.

1:00am. (If I stay up that late. Protein Shake and another carb source).

It isn't that complicated, especially if you have the protein shakes, bars and MRP's. People think supplements cost a lot, but when you consider they replace real food, and you consider the individual price of one unit compared to say a sandwich the MRP is cheaper. A sandwich takes Mayo, Bread, Meat, Lettuce. These combined are more than the MRP. Plus, all the other crap that goes along with it.

R&D you don't have a whole food meal from the time you get up at7:00am to 4:00pm. i would be starving to death how do you make it through the day on just 2 whole meals aday.i've seen your post on here all the time so i know you know what your talking about but im amazed at this.also you dont take any glutamine after you workout(i know it doesnt mix well with creatine but ive read that this is the most impotant time to take glutamine bill phillips said that glutamine go's streaming out of the muscles during and after a workout and that glutamine after you workout should be a must)i'm still amazed that you can wait that long to eat a whole meal.i do realize that your eating fruit and salads with your mrp's and protien but if your like me they fill you up for like an hour at the most and then im starving.i use meal replacements and protien powders 3 times aday and eat 4 whole meals(usually eggs and oatmeal twice aday, chicken and rice or potatoes, and usually what ever my girl cooks for dinner like steak, hamburgers etc.)god bless you that you can do that routine i just know that i would be starving to death.good to see you still posting.

Thank bro. But, if you knew my daily routine, you would come to understand. During the summer I work a full time job at a staffing firm working along side the corporate controller. With my busy schedule it is healthier and easier to throw crap together rather than plan a meal, and cheaper. It really isn't tough, in fact, it's easy for me because I know I am doing well for my muscles.

I have been following the AST Max OT routine, and they have been pretty right so far about stuff, so I take glutamine at night and in the morning. As most know, it helps raise natural GH levels at night. Your body also falls into a state of catabolism after sleeping, so replenishing them at first eye open is prime.

So far so good, here though. And I take creatine in between glutamine, and after and before a workout.
