I just realized how I gained so much weight in a short period of time. I found out that if you drink a can of beer right before you take a protein supplement then the alcohol will increase insulin levels, thus transporting more protein to your muscles. I realized that I had gained 15 lbs in 1 month, and I have kept it on. I did that for 1 month and gained 15 lbs. then I took 1 month off, then I went back on it for another month and gained 10 lbs. I have been off of that cycle for about 4 months because I have gained the amount of muscle mass I needed to. If you are looking to gain quick weight the drink a can of beer before you take your protein supplement preferably whey protein.

That will really put on some weight! The problem is that you will gain some fat from calories and other stuff in the beer. If you are having problems with gaining weight then I would reccommend that you try this. When you put on mass you have to be willing to gain some fat. Later on when you want to cut back and lose some fat then do some cardio when you wake up, do it on an empty stomach. Good Post, keep writing.

It will put on weight, not just water weight. You will be getting some fat from the beer, but otherwise you will be getting MORE high quality protein to your muscles. The beer will also provide you with and excessive amount of calories. Beer is actually good, it has a high amount carbohydrates and is high in protein which will help you gain weight. DO NOT ABUSE BEER!!! JUST ONE A DAY BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR PROTEIN. IF YOU ABUSE IT YOU WILL GET A BEER BELLY. YOU MAY NOT NOTICE THE EFFECTS OF THE BEER RIGHT NOW, BUT THE LONG TERM EFFECTS WILL MAKE YOU LOOK TERRIBLE. CYCLE THE BEER FOR 3 MONTHS, ONE MONTH ON, ONE MONTH OFF, THEN THE NEXT MONTH ON.

HAHAH, i dont think he realized that his ip shows up for all three posts. and the insulin spike is a good idea, thats why a lot of people take their protein in a high glycemic juice, NOT BEER THOUGH!

Alcohol goes bad with everything basicly. Just use that protein supplement with a wellrounded diet and you should see even better results. You should know that by now since your old enough to have alcohol!
