I am 18 years old and pretty short I want to start bodybuilding but I want to grow a few inches first. I heard I can get some GH treatment. I also heard of a supplement that can reopen your growth plates. If anyone knows the name of this product or has any information that can help me out pleases let me know. I have saved some money so hopefully that wont be a problem as the treatment can be expensive, but I am willing to try almost anything, HELP me please!.
Thanx

Yeah, the treatment is expensive, I went through it. Read my page on this site.

It gives some info on HGH. It is either injections or nothing. You can get Protropin, or Somatropin, but you have to start young, around age 13. 18 is probably too old, and no good. I am sure your bones are about fused. The only way is to go to a growth Dr. But be warned, the stuff costs 25k per year. I was on them for 3yrs.
If you want any more info just ask.....

Hey I'm 28 yrs old and only 5"6 if was to spend the 25k per yr to see a growth doctor what would it involve doing? Did it work for you? how long before you see results?

Like I said, that is too old. I started when I was 13. And stopped around 16. But the test, rquires the Dr. To take blood from each arm every 30min. I had to go to the hospital to do this. Every 30min, they draw blood, and they do this for 6hrs. A long trial. They then check to see how deficient you are. I all goes well, they teach you how to give yourself the shots. It is actually very simple. I gave 1 a day. And I would alternate from stomach-leg. Sometimes I used to gross girls out with it. I would shove the needle in my stomach, and then leave it in, and move the fat around the needle, and make it shake back and forth. I almost made a couple of girls puke.
The 25k a year is the cost for the shots and Protropin.
And results, well, I grew an 1" every 3 months. I also ended up giving my self Testosterone shots. The testosterone looks like oil. This was very hard, because the needle was as thick as the lead in a mechanical pencil, and it had to go into the muscle unlike the GH. I gave it once a month, and it went directly into the muscle of my leg. The damn thing hurt so much, that I had to ice the muscle, until it went numb before I injected the testosterone. It is either the leg, or butt. No one ever gave those shots to themselves, because they are kiiler, but I was always fond of needles. I only gave it for 3 months, and I couldn't do it anymore
Well there ya go, some more info.....

Man, If you meet the requirements, say around 13-14 15 max, talk to your DR. mine came from Kansas City once a month. My Dr's name was Dr. Guthrie. Any Dr. should help you find one.
Like I said, be warned the treatment (shots) are expensive. If insurance won't pay for it, you will be dishing out a lot to grow. Insurance paid for mine, and I wasn't about to be under 5' tall. I caught it before it was too late.

Param,
I'm no doctor, but possibly you may add on height by eating well and working out consistently with weights. The good food will aid in growth and using weight training may add volume to the cartilledge (did I spell that right?) in your spine etc. I know that my family has commented that I look taller since beginning training about two years ago and I'm 23 and 6' 1".

Hey there,
I am new at bodybuilding myself. i am 6ft 2" tall and it is much harder to grow muscle in this way! I look thinner and growth time is doubled because of this. believe me... you dont want to get tall!
i weigh only 135lbs and i have been training for a yr now (not too successful). Despite this since i started taking glutamine i have noticed a difference over the time span of 2 mts. Anyway i hope i could have helped into making u feel good about yourselvs. Your are probably much more well built than puny little me! in fact is any of you have advice on how i can gain weight pls tell me. (alflupi@maltanet.net). My metabolism rate is extreemly high and no matter how much food i eat i never get fat.... or gain mucsle quicky.
so u see it is not all that bad in beening fat!
