i'm 27 years old i have read your articles about andro it was nice but can you tell me when should i start taking prohormones ? i mean should wait and train natural and make some gains until my weight stop to gain naturally then i start taking prohormones to take me to the next level or from now ?

my weight is 132lb 5'6 i have been training for almost 6 months but it was not steady .

right now i'm taking creatine, glutamine, multivitamin, protein powder and tribulus and i'm planing to take some methoxy what do you think about that ?

thanks dear

Don't waste your money on methoxy. The research makes sense but the results don't. I haven't quite done all the math yet, and I have limited testcases to go by, but methoxy seems to have no major effect.

It looks like you are on a good supplement program. If you take your multi in the morning, i would suggest adding some dessicated liver (its cheap and very effective at supplying extra vitamins and amino acids)I'm assuming you loaded your creatine at 20 g for 5 days and are now on maintenance with two times 5 g a day, one of those after your workout with your protein shake.
If I'm correct in that, the first thing you should try is upping your calories and drinking a weight gainer shake once a day. In the morning, unless you train in the morning, then take it before bed.

27 is as good an age as any to start prohormones. Matter of fact I'm only 25 and I've been on them for almost two years. I did the research, and it seemed like my best bet. If you have the previous down, and you are eating and sleeping enough but are still not satisfied with your gains, prohormones are for you. I suggest starting on a light stack, try Universal Animal Stak. Then stop for two weeks and then try taking 250 mg of AST 19-Nor with breakfast and one with dinner. Also take 250 mg of AST 5-diol , 45 minutes before training. This is 750 mg. I think that should be enough for now. Stay on the stack for 6-8 weeks and stay off for as long as you were one before recommencing. If you get no side-effects (acne) and have no trouble sleeping, feel free to up the dose, or switch 19-nor to Nor-4-diol (but beware , its expensive).

If you are on glutamine and getting results from it, you are not getting enough protein. if you get 1.5 g of protein per pound of bodyweight, there is no way you need additional glutamine (and no, i don't give a shit what flex magazine said, they are promoting Weider, who is the leader in marketing L-glutamine)

Just making sure I have my facts, but I suddenly get the odd feeling you are a woman, in which case I suggest sticking to 19-Nor and Nor-4-diol, to avoid androgenics (less estrogen makes women feel slightly depressed , which is not good for training motivation)

thanks man for your help

but i have one more Q if you don't mind, what do you think about proxelon, hmb, ribose and vanadyl ?

thanks big cat

By Big Cat on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 - 12:51 pm: Edit

That's more than one question. I'll give you a short answer, if you need more send me an email.

Proxelon : no ! HMB is good for people on a diet. DIminished the lactic acid barrier and preserves muscle mass. Probably most effective when stacked with its metabolizer leucin. Ribose is great, effective at replenishing glycogen, great to stack with creatine as both work towards the goal of refueling Adenosine Tri-phosphate. Downside : you need 3-5 g a day during or after workout and it could get expensive. Look for this to become a hot supplement in about two years. Get the powdered form, the caps take to long since they come in 500 mg. Vandadyl is a waste of money. Doesn't do anything your body can't on a healthy diet. Only ones still pushing this are Weider, and even they know its a losing battle.

Any way, hope that helped. i can give you the finer points of how they work, if you want send me a mail.

ZMA just increases test levels. To help get toned you need to cut, and for cutting you want an ECA stack like Xenadrine. There's plenty of others, Dymetridine, Ripped Fuel, Hydroxycut, they're all pretty good. You need to do some cardio first thing in the morning and lower your caloric intake, especially fats and carbs. The ECA will help you get cut, but the key to getting ripped is dedication to diet and training.
