protein is converted into amino acids and then those are used to help rebuild the muscle in your body that was torn apart while your lifting. when you lift, you rip your muscles apart. they need amino acids to rebuild. if you feed your muscles the right food,then the will rebuild and rebuild larger and stronger than before
