Hello, I have a problem... I'm a 20 year old college student who started lifting weights. I've also got an extremely high metablism, weighing in at only 130# @ 5'9"! Now heres my real problem, I'm looking for a weight gain powder thats cheap and effective. My problem is I don't have $30 to through at protein powder every 2 weeks. I started with Twinlabs Gainers Fuel 2500 and made two drinks a day of this consisting of 2 cups of powder. It worked great, in 2 weeks I gained over 10#!! The problem is most protein powders that I read the label on just don't have enough calories, are too low in protein (since I'm a college student I don't get much protein from food--even theough I eat nutritous, no junk and mostly low fat food)or have no carbs, I'm looking for a protein powder thats cheap, comes in bulk, lasts for a decent amount of time, is cost effective, and has a good ration of protein, carbs, and calories. I'm also looking for a protein poweder that is easy on the stomach (since I've been diagnosed with an ulcer) I found the Gainers Fuel wrecked havoc on my stomach, of course this is not as important as the things I stated above. Basically I'm asking everyone for their opinon on an effective yet cheap "weight gainer". Feel free to answer to this msg board or e-mail me. Serious responses only plz. Thanks in advance...

well i have never used it but u might wanna look into a powder called lean MASS blend. it looks like it could help u...u can read up on it at this site...the only problem with that is that some say it isnt good to mix proteins and creatine together (yes this stuff does have creatine in it) but look into it. other than..if u r that skinny just eat whatever and train HARD! later..lemme know if u decide to try this stuff

Eat lots of foods high in carbs. e.g. pasta
As for a good weight gainer. Try Prolab N-Large II
When you mix it with milk, you get about 800 calories.

As with the previous few posts, Pro Labs N-Large II is definetly the way to go. It has moregrams of protein and calories per serving than any other, and its from a respected label. I would also reccomend purchasing a case of protein bars, Met-Rx's protein plus are my favorite. 32g of protein per serving, they make good if you don't have time to eat.

O.K. I know with prolab's N-Large II being over 800 calories and 52 grams of protein before adding milk probably 60 afterwards, just make sure to DRINK IT SLOWLY. Take it over the course of 30 minutes.
Don't down it in 2 minutes or else YES IT WON'T GET ABSORBED INTO YOUR BODY.
