After workout and when you wake up.
In between those, you should eat foods high in protein. e.g. Chicken, Tuna, Beans, Beef. etc

Every hour if you want to maximize your gains. Although I can't say I do it myself. It's just a dream I suppose. But taking in a small amount of protein every hour on the hour on the hour would be the key to the gains I've been looking for... to bad some of us have day jobs. sigh.
Try having 6-8 meals per day. About half can be just protein shakes. One when you wake up. One after lifting. And one before bed. Those are the essentials.

Don't worry about dropping lbs. worry about dropping fat, unless you have to cut weight for something i.e wrestling, boxing.
