lts one of the best protein powders available for mass. There are not many around that can give you in every 100gr dose, 36gr of protein and 60gr of complex carbs. And also its made exclusively from Cross flow ion exchange whey. ln a ratio of quality V price, i think is the best. And about me, l have taken it for around 4 months, and l did not have any side effects at all.

Okay, i have a question.
I wanna get only lean mass and i don't have the quickest metabolism, so is taking N-large-2 okay for me?
I see that it has a a lot of protein and carbs in it, is that gonna make me pack on fat a lot more easily, or should i just take the regular whey protein and remain a little more cut?
I don't want to gain any fat while taking a protein supplement!

By John ( - 212.120.195.70) on Saturday, June 03, 2000 - 05:00 am: Edit

lf you don't want to take any more fat, stay with a regular whey protein. N-Large ll is for people that want to get some serious mass, but mass also means to get some fat. lf it was possible to get totaly, ie 20 pounds in a year, and all of them to be lean pounds it would be perfect but its impossible. You might can get 20 pounds, and then with a good diet to lose the fat and to keep around 5-10 pounds, (it depends of how many years you train). But you have to be careful also about your other meals of the day, a supplement by itself can not make you very lean or very fat.

By mike ( - 152.163.207.186) on Tuesday, August 22, 2000 - 07:20 am: Edit

its not impossible to gain 20 pounds in a year, with the right training rest nutrition, and supplements you can do that no problem you idiot.

By John ( - 194.30.248.60) on Tuesday, August 22, 2000 - 09:35 am: Edit

Mike, at first you should learn to talk. lf you are stupid enough to think that is easy to get 20 MUSCLE pounds (cause that was my point), in one year NATURALLY, you are totally wrong. Only in some extreme cases that is possible, or if the you are less than 20 years old (you are still growing).
And since l am sure that you KNOW NOTHING about bodybuilding, and you just wanted to post a stupid message, tell me what is right for you about training, rest and nutrition.

I heard this sort of thing a week ago, and I wanted to know for sure if it was possible. This girl I like told me her boyfriend in a different state, was going to gain 20lbs of Muscle Mass by the next time she saw him which would be about 11 months. Is it possible. I told her I was going to gain 40 since girls believe everything :) He has the same body structure as me. 5'6 115-120lbs age 20. Is this POSSIBLE if he eats right, and trains right. I don't know what I am trying to gain except more than him.!!!

By John ( - 194.30.248.182) on Wednesday, August 23, 2000 - 12:14 am: Edit

As l said before fitforlife, only if you are less than 21 years old, and you still growing, you have chances to get 20 muscle pounds per year, OR if you belong to the lucky 0.1% of the population that have amazing genetics. Also another one possibility is if this is the first year that you are weight lifting, and the last possibility (but always avoidable for me), is to use steroids.

Anyone who thinks that this stuff can pack on 20 lbs of muscle even in a year is crazy.Even steriod users have trouble with 20 lbs of Muscle not fat and muscle. You can gain if you up the carbs eat like a pig and train, but alot of it will become fat.The average lifter can expect around 10 lbs of mucsle with a proper diet and hard training...Also this is for most geniticly average men 21 and over. If you are a skinny teen you will have a hard time gaining even 10lbs in a year. The one post the guy said he is 5'-6" and 115-120 lbs. For you it will be difficult to add mass to your frame. You must eat alot of protein and others foods to fool your quick motabolizm -(spell).also cut back on extra activitys such as running or cardio..conserve your calories! It can be done guys but it is hard work and it will not come from a can of whey, but a little whey will help.

How does the N-Large2 compare to Twin Labs Gainer fuel 2500. The Gainers tastes like shit, how about the Prolab? So far I like the CytoGainer.

By John ( - 194.30.248.181) on Wednesday, August 23, 2000 - 08:57 pm: Edit

l totally agree with T-BAR. Now about N-Large 2 V Gainers Fuel, l believe N-Large 2 is better since it has more protein and less carbs per 100gr.
About taste, l have tried all the flavours (wild berry, vanilla and chocolate), and personally l think that vanilla is the best tasting.

By fitforlife ( - 208.190.252.246) on Wednesday, August 23, 2000 - 09:10 pm: Edit

Is it a fine powder like the Gainers fuel, or is it more like a cocoa powder, heavier, like protein powders, because I don't like the way the Twin Labs is formulated, it really sucks, and I am glad I didn't waste my money on it, I told my Twin Lab Sales rep when he came into my store yesterday that it sucked, and he gave me credit for the bananna, and chocolate, so I didn't have to pay a penny, and now that I think it sucks, I am pulling it off my shelves.

I am 17..I am 155 lbs Last september I was 133..11 months ago in January i was 135. I have taken designer protein for 3 months but thats it..it is very possible to gain 20 lbs..i know i am still growing and that helps...I bought NLarge 2 today for the 1st time ..i am drinking it now actually..It tastes very good. With designer I needed Ovaltine to make iit taste good..My question..Could increased protein cause acne?

By BigJ ( - 24.162.105.97) on Friday, November 17, 2000 - 08:37 am: Edit

Don't worry..protein has nothing to do with acne. It's just food, and N-Large 2 is good stuff so you made a good decision. acne is cause more by genetics and not cleaning your skin regularly.

By aaron ( - 152.163.207.179) on Saturday, November 18, 2000 - 08:28 am: Edit

acne caused by genetics? thats a new one. some people just get it worse than others because of genetics.
the most common reason for acne is an influx in hormones. whether this be from going through puberty or taking prohormones/steroids. the hightened hormonal change(wheter it be testosterone or estrogen) causes your body to excrete excess oil through the pores. every pore, not just facial. that is why acne on the back and other parts of the body is not uncommon. think of the oil as the bodys way of letting off steam. it is regulating the change in body structure. if the excess hormones were not released your body would probably go crazy.

I'd like to put on size, and am using Myoplex twice a day with 3 meals. I was thinking of buying a weightgainer like N Large, but what about adding one or two bananas to the Myoplex shakes and getting 200 extra calories from real food instead of the processed carbs and sugars found in weight gainers?
Also what do you think about Labrada products (Lean Body and Kwik Size XL) quality wise?
Thanks

N-LARGE2, or CYTO GAINER from Cytosport......

Best 2 on the Market.

By aaron ( - 216.127.82.225) on Sunday, November 19, 2000 - 03:54 am: Edit

Nael,
my first observation is that you are only eating 5 meals a day. throw in 1-2 more whole meals a day. constituting of a rich low sugar carb source(rice, pasta, oatmeal, whole wheat bread) and a lean protein source(chicken, turkey, egg white, lean beef). I myself do not believe in weight gainers. if you need to resort to a weight gainer, you are obviously failing in your diet. just bump up the portions in each of your regular meals. add in healthy fats. its really quite simple. instead of having 1 serving of pasta, have 2. one cup of oatmeal instead of 1/2. a chicken breast with a glass of milk. two turkey sandwhiches instead of one. the list goes on and on. i know what i am talking about reguarding weight gain believe me. i consume around 21-22 calories per lb of bodyweight a day and maintain 6% bf. im not skinny and do not eat to gain weight just to gain. i eat enough food required by my body to grow and grow. staying at a good 6% while eating all those calories is thanks to smart eating. i eat foods with low to no traces of sugar all day long. the only time when i have an abundance of sugar is right after a workout. i eat 8 meals a day. more meals means a faster metabolism.

also, adding bannanas as carb sources to your myoplex is not a good idea. bananas are high glycemic foods high in sugar, that is what you want to stay away from. i eat a banana after working out with my gatorade and protein, because i know the sugar will be absorbed quickly. if you want to add 200 calores to the myoplex, try making them with milk.

but other than that follow my above suggestions and you should do just fine.

good luck

I mean that acne is naturally regulated by genetics, in that some people have oilier skin than others. Of course taking prohormones or steroids changes that, but protein intake does not.

By Nael on Sunday, November 19, 2000 - 12:13 pm: Edit

Thanks aaron for you reply,
I actually mix the banana in the Myoplex following my workout. I'll try to stick to your advice, but it's a bit hard to ingest all these calories from food; I'm already stuffed after one typical meal (1 chicken breast, one sweet potato and a bowl of vegetables). Also I forgot to mention that I have an extremely low bodyfat of 3.6%; I know it is quite impressive, it's because in the past, one of my main activities was running and running; my metabolism must be quite fast. I switched to bodybuilding 5 months ago. I weigh 63Kg, 178.5cm. I also take Riboforce HP, HMB, ZMA and Glutamine. I often wake up in the middle of the night to have a serving of precision protein (Whey protein). All and all, it's about 2400 Kcals/day. Tell me what you think. Until now I haven't made any gain in mass.

By Nael on Sunday, November 19, 2000 - 04:22 pm: Edit

I also have 2 other questions: How does sodium intake influence muscle definition and water retention? How much of it should a bodybuilder consume in order to have the best definition?
Does doing aerobics during the off days have a negative influence on recovery from the last workout. I don't need to burn fat (since I don't have any), but I like doing some form of exercise almost every day.
Thanks a lot.

By Nael on Tuesday, November 28, 2000 - 08:34 pm: Edit

Could anyone please answer my 2 questions above.
Thanks

I have just started to get into bodybuilding, 5'9 182lbs. really athletic. I'm going to start taking N-Large2 and have already started taking creatine. My goal is to pack on muscle and get around 205lbs. Should I worry about getting fat and looking chubby while taking these products? Should I also be taking a fat burner? Or do I wait until I pack on some pounds and then take a fat burner? Sorry like I said I'm new and I don't know anything really..... Please help me!!!!!
