Hey everybody,
I'm just starting the HIT program. According to thier calculation you have to multiply your body weight by 20 then add 500 or so calories depending on your activites. That would mean I'd have to consume 4100 calories a day. I would also have to take over 200grams of protien. I am going to invest in some protien shakes but I need a list of store bought foods that are very high in protiens and calories.
Which foods have the highest protiens and calories?
Thanks everyone for your help!

Chicken, Cottage Cheese, Low Fat Milk, Some Cereals (special ones), plenty of hard boiled eggs, or even the package stuff. Tuna Fish is awesome. Any type of fish. Steak, Turkey are also good.
Don't forget though, that a straight protein diet isn't the best idea. The protein needs to go to the muscles, the carbs need to go to the rest of the body to provide energy. In addition, carbs make your muscles fuller, and provide energy for intense workouts.
If your goal is muscle gain, a good source of carbs or glucose is necessary so as not to eat so much protein and amino acids up while working out. So, consume the recommended amount for muscle growth and apply the rest of your calories to some fat and the rest carbs. Additionally, carbs help trigger the release of insulin, and the higher the rating on the glycemic index and greater amount, the quicker insulin is released and more powerful.

Thanks R&D I appriciate the info. I was looking at protien suppliments today and found that most offer about 24grams of protien per serving. If I take these suppliments three times a day I still have to make up for over 100 grams of protien to meet the requirements of my program. I live in Canada and the average price for protien runs about $40. That will only last for just over a week. I was also looking at cheaper alternatives like Carnation instant breakfast. It has just over 15grams of protien and tons of carbs for a quarter of the price. Any suggestions to have effective this would be?

If you're willing to go with Justin Bed's advice, you might as well go with the advice of some fat bitch that hasn't intentionally exercised in her entire life. Yes! Justin Bed is that big of a pile of shit. Hey, Justin, you're a dumb bitch! HA HA!!!
