I'm 22 now but when I was 18 I weighed 320 pounds with 37% body fat and it was people like dj dave who stop me from going to the gym because yes I was fat... But now I do body building competition's at 195 with 3% body fat...

There is definately truth to the fact that fat people are real turn-offs. I hate when I go somewhere and end up sitting next to the fat guy. But I think that I am actually wierd that I find myself thinking about who I wish was sitting next to me. The lean muscular guy I would want to be near everytime.

But I have seen alot of really heavy guys going to the gym and I think that they should be encouraged to keep it up. If you really do not like fat people, you should do whatever you can to help them lose weight and get muscular. If they do not have any interest in losing weight, then you can hate them!

Sure, I have no problem understanding competition, but BBers are different.

They want people to look at almost every part of their bodies and make a judgement. Are their hams/etc. better than everyone elses on stage? There is something odd about this.

BBers have no problem being judged on stage, but have a BIG PROBLEM being judged as wasting their time. I have no problem with people here saying I'm wasting my time with my rantings.

I've made a complete 180. I've attended 2 Mr. O's and Mr. International and a State contest, so I know what it's like to cheer those guys. I've talked with Rick Wayne, Kennedy, Vince G. and Rich Gaspari. These are all fine people. I told Rick he once had a chance to win The O, he thought that was funny. Having met these people doesn't make me better or worse - I'm only saying that I have been on both sides of the fence.

Its still competition man, how it takes place is of no concern. I find it odd that racecars have to have construction limits. i thought the aim was to go faster ? I also think its odd that punching each other until you bleed is in the same category of sports as groping sweaty men. If either can be called a sport to begin with. Why do martial arts competitions have kata ? What's so fun about watching a guy scream and kick air ? Not everything has to make sense, as long as the people that do it and watch it enjoy themselves.
