Ok, let me give you a bit of background information 1st. I am 24 and currently weight 215 pounds. I am 5 foot 9. 5 months ago I weighed 281 pounds. I have lost 65 pounds in the last 5 months and now I want to start bodybuilding. I was told that my ideal weight should be about 165 for my height. So here is my question. Should I start lifting weights now even thou I am still about 50 pounds overwight or should I wait until I hit my "ideal weight" and then start bodybuilding. Will I gain muscle quicker and have a better looking body starting out fat or will I gain it quicker by starting out skinny. My goal is to have abs and a body like those guys you see on tv selling those ab machines all the time. I dont want to be huge like Arnold Schwarzenegar, I just want a defined body like those guys in the ads. I am also 24 years old. Is it to late for me to have a great looking body? Have I started to late? Also what should I buy for training? Any help would be apreciated. Also is there anyone out there who has a similar story? Overweight all their life then changed into a lean, Well defined body?
Thanks in advance!

Dude muscle weighs more then fat... 2.5-3 pounds more then 1 pound of fat. :) Start now... just stick to toning out. You'll lose weight in the process while gaining some nice mass.

Muscle weighs twice as much as fat.
