Hi everyone I am confused carbs. I am 18, 145lbs, 5'9 and will begin working out at the gym Monday. I already take enough Protein, oh and im an ectomorph. I keep hearing two different things, take in alot of carbs and then I hear dont. so which is it? How much should be taking in daily, and is Carbo Rush a good supplement, if not what it? Also, what about calories? Thanks

I think that if you wanna get big just eat as many carbs as you can, the only reason some people don't take carbs is because they wanna get cut before a contest or something. Since your a begginer there is no reason to get cut, the way it works is first you get big, then you get cut so eat as many carbs as you can,
For Calories, just eat as much food as you can take in your body without blowing up. You won't get fat because your around 145lbs and since your gonna work out, all the energy and calories will be burned from intense training.
I never tried carb rush so I don't know what it does or how it works. You should ask the guy you bought it from, he can tell you how it works and stuff like that. And he could be lieing to you about how it works because he will want you to buy more carb rush to make more bussiness
I tried Creatine and gained 10lbs in 7 days. I never got bigger from useing creatine so don't think its a magic pill, it doesn't work the way people think it does, its safe and is not a steriod so take it all you want. Creatine only gave me more energy to perform really heavy sets where my legs were gonna fall off and thats about it.
and some people say it gives you liver problems?
that may just happen if you decide to drink the whole bottle of powder all at once.

you cannot just load your body with carbs and not worry about it man.
when carbs arent used up as energy they are stored is fat!
multiply your weight by 15.
145x15=2175
this is calories for the day that you should be eating.
i like 40:40:20
protein:carb:fat
just make sure its mostly good fat(like what is found in fish)
try this combined with oyur weight training, and you should be gaining weight.

do you want totally spoonfed or what???
big carb sources;pasta,noodles and rice.
do some of your own research man.
i hate people that want everythinh handed to them.
bodybuilding requires alot of dedication. you have to be prepared to work hard not only in the gym, but in your diet and everything.
there are a load of good books etc yopu can get on nutrition etc.
try doing abit of work for yourself!

perhaps a better way for you to go about your question is,
here is my diet, blah blah blah.
this is x amount of protein, x carbs, x fat, x cals
what do you think of this?
i am thinking of increasing my carb intake to try and gain mass, what do you think?
this would say to me, that you are interested, that you have one a bit of research, and are looking for further information/different point of view.

by having 3 whole pieces of fruit(1 orange, 1 apple, and 1 banana) a day, do I upset my 130 gram protien diet. I want to get more cut. I weigh 125lbs., and am pretty muscular, buut I want more cut abs.
