I purchased this ab rocker a few months ago, but I don't feel anything during or after the workout. has anyone else bought this product, felt it, and saw results? if so, how do you use it properly?

You've been had, my friend. All that abdominal bullshit workout equipment you see on TV doesn't work.

does everyone else agree?
By fp on Thursday, December 30, 1999 - 08:56 pm: Edit
i agree its all bullshit, the best way to do your abs is just on a mat and thats all then learn how to do your upper lower mid and obliques it works great and is the cheapest!
By Danny on Thursday, December 30, 1999 - 10:44 pm: Edit
so, fp, what exercises would you suggest for the abs?
By justin_bed on Tuesday, January 04, 2000 - 07:03 am: Edit
wtf, all you people are retards. No ab machine is going to give you a six pack and make you lose weight if your 300 lbs and your body fat % is above 50. In order to have cut abs that you can see your body fat has to be in the single digits. that can only be aquired by dieting and cardio

right on, Anon. As a matter of fact, I'm not very overweight at all. But what's wrong with trying to tone up your stomach?

Trying doing slow rep crunches. Try for 10 seconds up-10 seconds down. If you have access to a crunch machine try adding weights. Either of these methods should produce a nice burn. I've heard that any more than 20 reps is pretty useless in terms of building up ab muscles since that would lead to overtraining. Besides, if you add enough weight or do the slow method, you probably won't be able to get more than 20 reps out anyway. Just my 2 cents.

Ironmind your on the right track, but it is almost impossible to overtrain your abs in one session it takes session after session to overtrain your abs, you can do sit ups untill you cannot move your abs and they wont get overtrained, unless you do them to soon to hard again and again but remember abs should be done every day, your abs can take a hell of a lot and they heal very quickly. Danny there are so many good and effective excersises for your abs. if you want me to describe a few of them e-mail me at fredpaul@hotmail.com

AND FOR EVERYONE ABE MACHINES DONT WORK!!!! (OR TO A POINT) YOU WILL NEVER GET ABS THAT YOU SEE ON TV AND THE MOVIES USING ONLY A ROCKER OR SOME PIECE OF MONEY MAKING BULLSHIT MACHINE LIKE THAT! THESE THINGS TEND TO MAKE SITUPS EASIER RIGHT! IF ITS EASIER ITS NOT DOING AS GOOD AS A JOB! WHEN YOU DO YOUR ABS FRESTYLE (NO MACHINES) YOU STRUGLE TO KEEP YOUR FORM INSTEAD OF A MACHINE DOING IT FOR YOU THATS WHEN YOU USE A LOT MORE AB MUSCLES AND GET A BETTER WORK OUT IN LESS TIME.
MAT, BENCH AND HANGBAR THATS ALL YOU NEED!

HERE! HERE! or is it HEAR! HEAR! Either way I have got to agree. No roller or ball or some other stupid piece of gimmicky equipment is going to help you build rock hard abs. It all boils down to diet, and good old fashioned sweat. I do like the ab machine in my gym that adds weight on, and it definitely does not make it easier.

Listen people! The AB Rocker isn't going to get you nice ripped abs alone. Think about it, when you see those people in his infomercial with the nice ripped abs, look at their whole body, do you think they really use that peice of equipment?? I doubt it. They have all around nice bodies, and the main thing, a very low body fat index. That's why the whole package comes with video's or something designed to make you eat better, cause anyone with a brain will figure out that you won't get nice abs if you keep eating junk food. So, eat healthy, and do your ab workouts, on the floor on a mat, leg raises, normal crunches, and obliques, and you'll have nice abs, there's just no substitute!!
By Anonymous on Thursday, February 03, 2000 - 04:21 am: Edit
Yes, there is! Cable crunches? Yeah? What about all those other machines at the gym you can use to work out the abs? All right then. There are substitutes!
By Anonymous on Sunday, February 06, 2000 - 01:57 am: Edit
I meant all of those when I said "do your ab workouts..", the no substitute comment was mainly for eating healthy!

i recommend the torso tiger.....it's a complete infomercial ripoff too but at least they have more hotties in their commercial.
By Mr. Fuk ( - 209.244.179.93) on Sunday, April 02, 2000 - 11:38 pm: Edit
Those torso tigers, torso track, ab rollers, or whatever the other names they have, are the most absurd, vain pieces of shits to come out for a so-called "high-resistance" abdominal workout. I could simply take my dumbbell, put on two weight plates, one on each side and not secure them, and emulate what you're supposed to do with the aforementioned equipments and get the same workout I would with those pieces of shits! Thank you. Now please pay me royalties every time you exploit my concept for an abdominal workout.

For fantabulous, superstupendious, mrolympus-type abs just talk to Doug Brolus. This cat is a genius. If you don't beleive me, just ask Doug Brolus. All hail Doug Brolus. The common man is not forgotten.

Getting abdominal muscles is not all that difficult it requires much dedication and proper nutrition, i got my six pack in two weeks and they looked better then any other students abs in my high school. On a personal note i must admit that these TV advertisements for abdominal programs have started to appeal to me but since you guys tell me its bs.. i'll go with what you guys say..

one thing to say.......> if theres no resistence on those machines, then it will just be like doing thousands of crunches with minimal results. those machines promise a flat stomache, not ab training, everyother day I perform 500 machine crunches from 5 sets, and 1000 leg lifts really a six pack, you need resistence to make that muslce grow, thats all there is to it, My abs are now starting to show after 1 month of hard over 10 sets, the first week you will be in very big pain so don't train again until your not sore anymore, your abs get very quickly used to that movement so it will not hurt, but they will still ripp and get bigger, trust me, and if your going home and gonna eat a very high carb and fat diet, then your not gonna see your abs.
and don't do 1000 leg lifts, my abs may not be ripped...but there very strong so thats why I am able to perform this routine of 1500 reps

All of you are lazy bicthes. Whatever happened to crunches and leg raises and actual physical exercise. Hard work and a strenuous diet ? Cardio ? When did everybody turn soft and start looking for the easy informercial, sit-my-lazy-ass-in-the-couch-and-dream-of-abs-I-will-never-have way out ?
