Hi, I'm a military reservist. I get to use gym facilities at one of the local bases. Right now, I stand 5'8" and weigh about 185. I'd like to get at least 10 more pounds until I consider competing. This is the year I'm concentrating on symetry.
I'm just looking for military friends who enjoy weightlifting like I do. I don't care what your build is like. I don't care if you are competitive shape, fat, thin...just the fact that we are there trying to build quality muscle via proper training and encouraging attitude is good enough.

Hey, my name is Frank, and I'm in the Air Force. Im about 5'8' too, 160 lbs., and have a somewhat good build. I like to workout with friends, or if I just get in one of my kicks where I relly want to. Im only 17, but I am starting my training now, so when I leave after school, I will be all set.
How much can you bench, and how long have you been training? I can only do about 150 and have been training for about 8 months now.

Hi Frank.
Doesn't matter how much you bench (unless you wanna be a weight lifter). I lift to look good, not just strong.
Anyway, been lifting for about 5 years. I'd say I've been training correctly for about 1 1/2 years. Max bench is 365.

See, I don't workout on a sheduel, I workout whenever I either feel like it or have the time. My mood also plays a factor. But I do what I want and trying to get in the habbit of doing it now, since Im going to the Air Force and Basic Training isn't going to be easy. And yeah, I havent been training correctly either, thats why I come here to see what Im doing wrong.

<span><span class=ResizableText0>Mike/Frank,</span> I'm in the Navy and I know what it's like to go to the gym and workout as well. As Mike stated earlier in the message, it's not how you look, but that you are in th gym and putting forth the effort. Frank, basic training won't be easy, but the guys who are going through it won't be <span class=ResizableText0>bodybuilders.</span> You will do well during <span class=ResizableText0>"boot</span> <span class=ResizableText0>camp"</span> and will turn out to be an <span class=ResizableText0>outstanding</span>
